September 14, 2015
Applicant: Rocky Mountain Engineering for Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brew
Proposed site address: 4021 Poleline Road
Present: Mayor England; Rodney Burch, Public Works Director; Paul Andrus, City Planner; Randy
Severe, Police Chief; Eric King, Fire Chief; Merlin Miller, Fire Marshall; Monty Mecham;
Fire Department; Rich Morgan, City Clerk; Nelli Simmons, Administrative Assistant;
Kermit Morrison; City Councilman.
This is a follow-up on landscaping variation from the design review meeting held 8.11.15.
Brady Smith from RMES, Bill Jackson, landscape architect from Jackson Land Design, Don Zebe, Pentab,
Inc. and Steve White, Farmer Holding were in attendance.
Bill described the landscaping with different layers, trailing plants with a drip irrigation system. Jackson
Land Design did Allstate’s landscaping so they would use the same plants to pull the look together. Plant
materials would minimize water and maintenance.
Steve White the developer approves of the concept and design.
Burch stated if the design review committee accepts today’s preliminary plan they will come back with a
detailed and final plan. If the design review does not accept the plan the wall would have to come down
and moved back 10 feet.
Zebe let the committee know if they have to move back 10 feet a building will be lost because of loss of
square footage.
Smith said there is not an issue with the site triangle.
Committee is anxious for them to move forward with a final plan.
