Applicant: Brian D. Russell Architects, Inc. for Burger King Corporation
Proposed site address: 4508 Yellowstone Avenue, Chubbuck
Present: Steve Smart, Public Works Director, Paul Andrus, City Planner, Randy Severe, Police Chief, Ray Griffin,
Building Official, Eric King, Fire Chief, Merlin Miller, Fire Marshal, City Clerk, Tom Holmes, City Attorney,
Nelli Simmons, Administrative Assistant.
Architect Brian Russell, Gary Moore with HB Boys, Kit Johnson with KWJ construction and Dave Williams with HB Boys
were in attendance to represent the application.
Meeting today is to discuss remodeling Burger King and the addition of a play area.
Front addition will house the new play land and a face lift on the entire exterior with a new stucco front.
No changes to the lots on the east side of the building.
Interior changes will be minor mainly decor.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
TRAFFIC SAFETY AND TRAFFIC CONGESTION: Traffic flow will not change.
OUTDOOR ADVERTISING: Ray will supply the sign permit application. Signs will only be changed on the building.
LANDSCAPING: 5% of the paved area needs to be landscaped. Decreasing the sod in the front of the building where the
play area will be located. Trees should stay the same. The existing concrete is where the play area will be built.
STRUCTURES AND SITE LAYOUT: Plan Complies
DRAINAGE: Stormwater drainage is in place.
PRETREATMENT: Grease interceptor is in place.
EXTERIOR LIGHTING: Lighting is required to be shielded to prevent light trespass. Lights will be changed to LED.
ENGINEERING: Platting has been done.
FIRE DEPARTMENT: Knox box will be relocated at a lower height. Address on the exterior will be replaced and visible.
Inspection is back for the sprinkler system and there are changes that need to be made.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT: Plans will go to Ray for approval. Work should be completed the end of July. Rooftop unit will
be added to serve the play land.
POLICE DEPARTMENT: No issues.
NONRESIDENTIAL WASTEWATER PERMIT/BUSINESS LICENSE: Already in place.
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT (where required): NA
