HomeMy WebLinkAbout6.5.12 Jacksons Parking AdditionCity of Chubbuck Design Review June 5, 2012 Applicant: Dale Binning Architect for Jacksons Food Store Address: PO Box 686, Boise, ID 83701 binning@clearwire.net Store Location: 4415 East Central Way, Chubbuck, ID 83202 Present: Steve Smart, Mayor England, Paul Andrus, Randy Severe, Tom Holmes, Eric King, Merlin Miller Jacksons Food Store has purchased the lot behind their store. Mill End Fabric store has been demolished so today’s meeting is to review parking, utilities and landscaping for the lot located at 4415 East Central Way. Mr. Binning explained no accesses for the Jackson’s Store will be changed and landscaping will be added. There will be a 5,000 square foot pet park with a lawn area and additional trees. The RV dump will remain but will be upgraded to a newer version. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS TRAFFIC SAFETY AND TRAFFIC CONGESTION: As per plans OUTDOOR ADVERTISING: No change. Steve Smart noted that with the new Diverging Diamond interchange that ITD will be constructing, the sign on Yellowstone, because of location to power lines, may need to be moved. LANDSCAPING: 5% of the paved area needs to be landscaped. Tree list will be provided. STRUCTURES AND SITE LAYOUT: The existing approach to the old Mill End Fabric building will be replaced with standard sidewalk, curb and gutter. DRAINAGE: The Design Manual for storm water retention will be e-mailed to Dale. They will need an Erosion and Sediment Control Permit and plans for storm water retention will need to be included in the engineering plans that will be submitted. PRETREATMENT: Not required because no building being built. EXTERIOR LIGHTING: 2 lights will be moved to the sorth bringing them closer to the interstate. Lighting is required to be shielded to prevent light trespass. ENGINEERING: Platting has been done. B&A Engineer, Joe Canning, out of Boise will be surveying the area. Steve discussed the main water line that is not on the plans that were brought today. If the water service Mill End Fabric is not going to be used it will need to be abandoned at the main. FIRE DEPARTMENT: No issues BUILDING DEPARTMENT: There will be remodeling inside the store. Dale will need to get with Ray Griffin. POLICE DEPARTMENT: No issues NONRESIDENTIAL WASTEWATER PERMIT/BUSINESS LICENSE: NA DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT (where required): Minutes from today’s meeting were e-mailed to binning@clearwire.net on 6.6.12
