Friends,
The first quarter of the year is gone. Time marches on. Time moving fast reminds me of a 7th grade history teacher that I
had. She had a sign by the clock that said, “Time will pass… WILL YOU?” She had a lovely sense of humor. All
kidding aside, time does move very fast and there is so much that needs to be accomplished. This is the reason we all
need to make plans for what we want and need to get done. This is even though things seldom work out exactly as
planned. Great things are achieved along the way. I am grateful for great people who help to get it all done.
Spring is a wonderful time of year and with proper planning wonderful things are on the horizon for each of us.
Preparing and planting are the things that make spring an effect season. Much of the “fruits of our labor”, so to speak,
will be realized later in the year. Remember that the harvest depends on what we do and how we do it now.
We all love a clean neighborhood and a wonderful way to achieve this is to rally our neighbors to participate in the
community cleanup day. This year we will do this on the second Saturday of May which is the 14th. Each and every one
of us can make a difference and collectively we will do big things in the process.
Please make plans to enjoy yourselves, your families, and your friends this Spring. Together we can have it all.

Message from the Police:
The City of Chubbuck currently has 21 bustling child care and preschool facilities in the city limits. The Chubbuck
childcare ordinance was issued in 1988, which requires all child care and preschool facilities in the City of Chubbuck to
be licensed. Through the dedication of our Police Department Records Staff, Chubbuck has been, and continues to be,
a successful example of how those ordinances keep up safety standards for working parents. Facilities are inspected at
least twice a year to observe that the cleanliness, safety and other standards are kept up by the facilities. By completing
these visits, we have very beneficial personal interactions with the owners, employees and area children. We enjoy
being able to work alongside those who care so much for children. We are thankful for all the hard work our staff and
the facilities put into the youth of our commUnity of Chubbuck.
