Chubbuck~ held in the Municipal Building of the Village of Chubbuck on February
11, 1964.
Present-Worsencroft, Underwood, Hillman, Christensen and McDevitt.
Absent-Ward, excused for a previous appointment.
Called to Order 8:00 P.M.
Minutes of the last regular and one recessed meeting read and approved as read.
Bills for Month presented to Board. Motion to approve payment made by Hillman,
seconded by Underwood. All in favor.
Financial report for the month then pre~ented to Board.
Extra Employee for Village- C. N. Welch was approved by the Board to work
for the Village, at a wage rate of $2.50 per hour until such time as the work
is steady and full time and a monthly wage is set. Motion to approve the appointment
and wage scale as described, made by Underwood, seconded by Hillman. All in favor.
Obnoxious odors- Ed Doty of Whitaker Road complained of obnoxious odors that
hang over the Village this winter. They are apparently coming from feed lots
at Tyhee. Board has no control over this matter as it is out side of their
Village Limits. After a discussion, it was decided that this mattez shou~ be
brought to the attention of the County Commissioners. Doty then stated that he
would seek action from the County Commissioners to see if this condition can be
remedied.
McOmber North Burley Sub-division - McOmber presented a rough sketch drawing
of the proposed sub-division to the Board. The decision of the Board was that
they keep the drawing so that the Board, Attorney, and Engineer can study the
plat before any action will be taken on this sub-division.
Licenses - After a discussion of Village Beer and Store Licenses a motion was
made by Hillman to have all Village licenses come due at the same time and that
ti~e is to be January 1 of each year. Motion was seconded by Underwood. All in
favor. Licenses that are due this June 1 will be issued for 7 momthe only, and
will be due again on January 1, 1965.
West Burnside Road Deeds- Parrish Co. has asked why these deeds have not been
accepted and recorded. McDevitt explained that this particular raod has never
been brought up to Grade to meet with Board approval. At such time as the road
does meet with Board approval, then the Village will accept and record such deeds.
Street Lights on Overpass- Worsencroft explained that Idaho Power has been
informed in writing that the Village will not take over responsibility of payment
for these lights until we have been duly notified in advance that we are
responsible for them.
Proposed Sanitation Ordinance- Discussed at length. During the diwcussion it
was brought out that we will have to buy a Garbage Truck, the money for such a
purchase would come out of the Contingent Fund, the probable price would be
$1,750.00, we need a census or survey report of all residents of the Village,
we will send out notices of a public hearing to every address we have available,
and the date for this public hearing on the proposed Ordinance will be Wednesday,
February 26, 1964 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Fire Station.
Subsidy for Ambulance Service- The Village will be contacted and asked to help
subsidize the Ambulance ~e~r~q~ j~ld after a discussion on this matter, the Board
all agreed that we shoul~¥a~~that the exact amount we mould pay would have
to be studied further, before any action can be taken, iP ~.
