Village of ~h~bb ~ck, held ~ the ~,,'iunicipal .~:.uilding of the Village of
Chubbuck on December 10, 1963
Present-Davis, Ward, Hil]man, Underwood, Worsencroft and McDevitt.
Called to order 8:00 P.M.
~[inutes of the last regular and one recessed meeting then read.
Motion to approve minutes as read made by Hillman, seconded by Ward.
All in favor.
Bills for the month presented to Board· Motion to approve payment
of bills made by Hillman, seconded by Underwood· All in favor.
Financial and Police reports for the month presented to Board.
Insurance Rating for Village- Letter from McDevitt to the Idaho
Surveying and Rating Bureau read to Board. There has not been an
answer to this letter yet. Letter is on file.
Taxes on Storage Building- Letters from McDevitt to the County
Commissioners read to Board. The Commissioners have taken no action
on this petition yet. McDevitt is to contact the County Prosecuting
Attorney and see what action they will take on this matter. Letters
to Commissioners are on f~le.
Equipment Insurance- Iease-Purchase Agreement cn the equipment
should be treated as a conditional sales contract. In agreement with
the Bank there will be a Single Premium Policy to cover total cost of
the equipment, and tb.e Bank will take out the Policy and the Village
will pay their share of the Premium to the ~ank. All Board members
agreed to this arrangement.
Booster Pump House Heater- ~Jorsencrift ex~:lained tc Board that
a Propane Heater with a 100% shut-off is needed for this building.
He suggested to change the stove that ~s ~here for a regular beater.
Board all agreed to this suggestion and authorized ;~orsencroft to
go ahead and get ~.t fixed.
Stairwell at Fire Station- There is sc~e Sheet Rock here, that was
given to the Village and after a discussion, it was the .decision of
the Board that Hensley go ahead and hire a man and have the sheet
rock used to close in the Stairwell. Motion to approve this decision
made by Underwood, seconded b~~ Hillman. All in favor. The Board and
hensley both agreed that the approximate cost would be $1.~0 per hour.
Report on a Committee meeting of the Board, held on December 4, 1963
read by Davis. Resolution on preceeding page, namely, Page 41, Minutes
Book 3, read iD full by Davis. Roll Call Vote for passage of this
reso].ution as follows: Ward-yes, ~/orsencroft-yes, Underwood-yes,
~illman'yes and Davis-yes.
Resloution on Estimate of Ex?enses read in full be McDevitt. Roil.
call vote for passage of Resolution as follows: Ward-yes, Worsencroft-
yes, Underwood-yes, Hillman -yes, a~d Davis-yes· Copy of said
Resolution is attached herewith to these Minutes.
Resolution setting a day and place for holding a Public Hearing on;
the question of making a general tax levy not to exceed 2~ mills,
read in full be McDevitt. Roll call vote for passage of said resoluti6n
as follows: Ward-yes, Wcrsencroft-yes, Underwood-yes, Hillman-yes, and
Davis-yes. Copy of resolution is attached herewith to these minutes.
Connecting Chubbuck and Bocatello Water lines- Hillman asked why
this had never been done, as it was agreed on by both municipalities
several years ago. We agreed to furnish the pipe and Pocatello agreed
tc furnish the labor. Board all agreed that this matter shculd be
pursued further and make it a project for 196~ fiscal year.
Vacation for tlensley- He asked for a week's vacation beginning on
December 22 and ending on December 29 so he can go to California for
Christmas. He has a man to replace him during his vacation. Board all
agreed that he take this Vacation.
