Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the
Vil].age of Ch~-bbUck, held in the Municipal Building of the Village
of Chubbuck on October 11, 1961
Present- Davis, Trost, Frasure, Hillman and McDevitt.
Absent- Ward.
Called to order 8:1~ P.M.
Minutes of the last regular meeting then read and approved.
Bills for the m~nth presented. Motion to approve pa~nent of bilks
made by Hil]man, seconded by Frasure. Ail in favor. The following
bills were not approved. Shoopman- 7.50 for mowing the park after
the September meeting. Stuart- 18.00 for money he claimed for worm
done on his own pipe line. Brennan Hardware- 6.73 for pipe that was
not ordered by the Village Board.
Financial and Police reports then presented to Board.
Sanitary Landfill Agreement read and discussed. Motion to accept
Sanitary Landfill Users Agreement made by Hillman, seconded by Trost.
Roll Call Vote, Hillman-¥es, Trost-~Tes, Frasure-yes,Davis-¥es. It
was the decision fo the Board to make the first payment of 162.50 now.
Hiway Ave.Waterline- Work ~:ill ~e done soon as possible as all the
materials are here now.
Tyhee Water Line- Real Estate Co. would like to develop land in
Tyhee and use Chubb~ck water. Chubbuck would have to lay a 6 inch
line to Syphon road and the Real Estate Co would take it from there,~
=fter much discussion the Board decided that there ara people in the
Village who should have water before we consider any outside limits
connections.
Naval Ordinance Plant- Davis gave a report on a meeting of some
officials for the disposal and future use o~ the Plant. The Board
decided that the Village should be ready for a possible increased
population and should be considering Ordinances for Building Permits
nnd Safety Regulations.
City-County Master Plan- should be ready in about 2 weeks.
Sewer System- After discussion the Board decided that All Board
members, Engineer and Attorney should inspect other systems in the
surrounding area and on Monday October 16, they will all go to
Heyburn to see their system~ get some ideas about cost.
Audit Report- Dale Jones gave a detailed report on the Village
Audit. Motion to accept the Audit and pa~? the bills for it made by
Htllman, seconded by Frasure. Ail in favor. Ail Board members have
copies of the Audit, One is on file, and the Clerk is to send one
to the Bureau of Public A~counts at Boise.
Natural Gas- Trost suggested that all Board members work together
to get Gas out here. After a discussion they decided that the Board
should meet with officials of the Gas Co. and see just what st~ps
need to be taken to ~et Gas in Chubbuck.
Meeting recessed at 9:40 P.M. subject to call if necessary.
