PROJECT TITLE:
Gate City Christian Church Campus Development.
LOCATION:
202 West Siphon Road
PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Site Plan Approval.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes, Steve Smart, Larry Kohntopp, Jean
Higgins, Randy Severe, Ron Conlin, Ray Griffin, Eric King and ~n Mendenhall.
Ken Snyder, CSHQA, Architect was present to present the proposed site plan.
Mr. Snyder stated the project is permanent, energy efficient and economical.
Mr, Snyder stated they are not sure of the color yet.
Mr. Snyder stated they are going to sprinkle the entire structure. Base on their budget the project
will be build in phases.
Mr. Snyder said the Sanctuary will seat 364 people with possible growth of 450 people.
Land Use Member Jason Mendenhall suggested the proposal go before the Land Use
Commission as a conditional use permit.
Discussion about whether or not the proposal should go before the Land Use & Development
Commission as a conditional permit.
The site plan was approved, subject to City Council approval with the following conditions:
1.10' Landscaping along Siphon Road and 5% interior landscaping, with automatic
sprinkling system.
2. Storm water drainage is to be retained on site. Gate City Church is required to work
with City Engineer to meet regulations.
3. Curb, gutter and sidewalk along Siphon Road.
4. One access to Siphon Road.
5. Required to have a Radius type street approach.
6. Clear address on buildings.
7. Required to have a Knox box.
8. Required to comply with grease trap code.
9. Site lighting is required to meet City Code.
