building November 15, 1972. Meeting called to order by Mayor Cotant at 8:00 p.m.
Present: Mayor Cotant, Councilmen iKinghorn, Menard, Romriell and Taylor. Attorney
Hargraves and clerk Armstrong.
GATE CITY REAL ESTATE presented their final plat of Stuart 3rd Addition. Gate City Real
Estate will be req~ired to extend the 8" water line East to Yellowstone Highway
from Mesqiute Drive so that it wfi_ll be in sn easement between two proposed lots.
Councilman Taylor made motion to approve the final plat. Romriell seconded. The
vote was unsm_tmous.
Waiver of performance bond discussed. Attorney Hargraves to check out possibility
of agreement with developers to guarantee that all street, sidewalks and utility
work w~.~ll be completed.
QUONSET BUILDING ROOF REPAIR _ Mayor Cotant recommended having repairs on city build-
ing. Councilman Menard moved to approve Mr. Cellan to make repairs to the roof
and approve payment to receive the discount on materisls. Kinghorn seconded with
all councilmen in favor.
SEWER CONTRACT AND AWARD - Bid opening for the proposed sewer project was held
November ~~ 2, 1972 after being, advertised as required by law. Oregon Construction
Company Inc. and George B. Paulus, A Joint Venture of Salem, Oregon was low bidder
in the amount of $1,819,256.80. Councilman Romriell made motion to accept the low
bid, authorize the Mayor to execute the contract and authorize the award of contract
to Oregon Construction Company, Inc. Councilman Kinghorn seconded. Mayor and all
councilmen in favor of motion. A certified copy of these minutes are to be sent
to the Department o£ Housing and Urban Develo~msnt.
COLONIAL LIFE AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE CO..~ Mayor and Council discussed the city
participating in an accident policy for firemen and city employees. Councilman
Romriell made motion the city furnish insurance for fireman only. Cour~cilman
Taylor seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Ail other employees of the
city to pay their own if they care to participate.
STATE HIGHWAY - Councilman Kinghorn suggested trying to get the speed limit changed
from 50 mph to 35 mph from Siphon Road 2outh to the present 35 mph sign. Council-
man Menard also suggested requesting again for a functional stop and go light
at the intersection of Yellowstone Highway and Chubbuck Rd.
CLAIMS for month of October presented to Mayor and Council. Councilman Kinghorn
made motion to pay b~]] s. Menard seconded with all councilmen in favor of motion.
FINANCIAL statement for month of October presented to Mayor and Councilmen.
