Minutes of a special meeting of the Mayor aud Council held in the city municipal building
May 15, 1973.
Porsent: Mayor Cotant, Councilmen Kinghorn, Menard and Taylor, aud clerk Vera Armstrong.
Meeting called to order at 5:20 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
Purpose of the special meeting is to reach an agreement on easements with the Parrishes
and the present water problem with the pump being out on Well #2 .
SEWER EASEMENTS - Mayor explained he had called this meeting with Parrishes to try to
reach an agreement on the securing of easements. Rodney stated the easement from
Parrish Dr. to Burnside would cause them to lose too much commercial property. Doug
Jensen, resident engineer, showed the council the alternate plans which the Parrishes
approve. A lengthy discussion followed with the Parrishes suggesting the sewer line
cut across the back of the six-plex property, which would cut off service to the
property south of Burnside. Council approved this change.
Easement to serve Myrtle's Place discussed at length. Parrishes approved signing
a 20' easement along Yellowstone Highway that would provide service to Myrtle's
Place if whe would waive her easement in her deed.
INTERMOUNTAIN INDUSTRTE.$ REZONING REQUEST - Councilman Menard explained the Planning
and zoning were conducting a survey on trailer homes. Max Parrish asked if apporval
of Intermountain Industries rezoning request was contingent upon this survey.
The development of the lots proposed by Intermountain Industries discussed at length.
Jack Menard moved the council approve the rezoning request of Intermountain Industries
and request the attorney draw up an ordinance rezoning the lot facing Chubbuck Road
R-2 and the rest of the property described be zoned R-2T. Councilman Taylor seconded
the motion with all in favor.
Mobile Manor - Development of Mobile Manor was discussed. Max Parrish asked when sewer
lines could be accepted. Councilman Taylor said the line could be accepted when
complete and a $1,000.00 payment put into escrow to guarantee maintenance.
Rodney Parrish said the lots along Chubbuck Rd. are for sale and they would like to
have homes developed on these lots.
WATER PROBLEM-WELL #2 PUMP OUT - Mayor asked council's feeling on the present water
problem of Well #2 pump being out of service. Mayor suggested the council approve
the digging of a well and ~ to inst~]l pump in the Country Acres city lots.
It was mentioned requirements will need to be drawn up by the engineer, bids be put
out and permit acquired. After some discussion Councilman Kinghorn made a motion to
have Engineer Perkins proceed with preparation for bids~on construction of a new
well. Councilmsm, Menea~d'seconded with all in favor.
