building February 2, 1973 at ~:00 o'clock p.m.
Present: Mayor Cotant, CounciLmen Kinghorn, Menard, Rontriell and Taylor, Attorney
HargraYes, Engineer Doug Jensen and clerk Vera Armstrong.
SEWER PROJECT SERVICE LINE AND HOOK-UP COSTS discussed by Mayor and Council. The
following was agreed upon.
If one had a home in the city at time project was designed and funded
the cost will be from the property line to the home and then start
paying the monthly fee.
tf one has built a home in the city since the above time the cost will
be from the main sewer line to the house and then start paying the
monthly fee.
If one owns a vacant lot and desires a hook-up at time main project
passes their property the cost will be from the main line to the
future house, immediately start paying the monthly £ee u~til a total
payment of $200.00 has been made. No further payment will be required
until a home is constructed and the sewer facility is used.~
Any cormection made to the main sewer line a~ter sewer line H~/~
has een in service × month (the total n ber of rev ue months
necessary to generate $200.00) will pay a $200.00 hook-up fee plus the
actual cost to construct their service line from main sewer line to fha
house concerned.
SEWER EASEMENT - TETON AREA - Residents from Teton Street were present to discuss
easements required for sewer line. Engineer Jensen informed them the city was
requiring a 10 foot permanent easement with 20 foot additional temporary easement.
After discussion with Mayor, Council and Engineer those present requested the
line be completed by April 15 and also requested the service line be installed to
the edge of the temporary easement. April 15 is the deadline this spring they
want construction through gardens and lots and September 15 will be the first date
they want to allow digging ne~% fall. It was stated residents have 60 days to
ho~k.~up to sewer after entire system is in.
Mayor and Council agreed to the above requests. Engineer Doug Jensen is to check
With Oregon Construction and find out when they plan to do the construction and
residents on Teton Street will be informed.
EASEMENTS - Mayor and Council further discussed securing of easements with Attorney
Hargraves.
