PURPOSE OF REVIEW:
Site plan approval.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Attorney Thomas 1. Holmes, Steve Smart, Larry Kohntopp, Jean
Higgins, Randy Severe, Ron Conlin and Eric King.
Mike Horner, Steel West was present to present a site plan for steel storage expansion.
Mr. Horner stated he would like to move his fence approx. 220' to the north to allow for the
storage of steel for the ISU Rendevous Project. The State is going to pay him for storing
the steel until he can get it ready for installation. Steel West employs approx. 30
employees.
The site plan was approved subject to the following conditions:
1. Required 10' Landscaping with automatic sprinkler system. Larry Kohntopp to go and
look at the property and work out a way for Steel West to comply with the landscaping
requirements.
2. Steel West is required to pave employee and customer driving and parking.
3. Required to have onsite storm drainage.
4. Required to have a screening fence around the property.
5. Larry Kohntopp will meet with Steel West to advise them on complying with required
City Code.
