Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Steve Smart, Richard Webb, Ray Griffin, Eric King, Ron Conlin
and Larry Kohntopp.
Tom Arave, Blackfoot, Idaho presented his plans for development of a lumber yard, (Phoenix
Lumber), apartments, an assisted living center and child center at the norther corner of
Yellowstone and Siphon Road, (between Yellowstone Ave and the railroad tracks).
Mr. Arave stated they would like to get the lumber business going as soon as possible, Mr. Arave
might request a temporary access
Mr. Arave is not sure of the placement of the businesses, that is why he is here to get the City's
input.
Mr. Arave is required to go through the annex and zoning process.
Steve suggested Mr. Arave talk to the County for their approval, but Steve is sure the County will
require they meet all City requirements at this time.
Eric King stated he will need to see an actual layout of the property before he can say where the
fire hydrants will go.
There will be no railroad spur.
Mr. Arave was directed to make application for annexation and zoning with the City, then go to
Bannock County for their direction.
