Merry Christmas to one and all,
This is a wonderful, fun, and cold time of year. As we celebrate a season of thanks, the joys of Christmas, and
anticipate a new year there is much to ponder.
I hope all of us will, in the spirit of this season, reach out to friends, neighbors, and family with a desire to lift and
bless one another. Kind thoughts, words, and deeds should permeate our lives at this time. Let us be aware as we
celebrate that there are those in our community that struggle with individual challenges. It generally takes so little to
brighten the day of another. The elderly and the homebound have heightened need of our attention. Let each of us
strive to find the closest need to ourselves and be the answer to their heart felt, and often silent, plea for relief.
I love the Chubbuck community. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. God bless.
Mayor Kevin England

Volume 3, Issue 1
Please read this important request from Mayor England:
The City of Chubbuck is undertaking the strategic planning process and through this effort, the City
Council, City staff, and I seek to learn what the vision of the community is in order to determine the
necessary goals, priorities, and action strategies needed to achieve this community vision. The first step
towards developing this strategic plan is obtaining input from all of our residents through a questionnaire.
The questionnaire seeks to obtain your unique perspective on issues in the City pertaining to some of the
following categories:
Quality of life;
Recreational and civic opportunities;
Ease of transportation;
Economic development and growth;
Experiences doing business with various City departments; and
General strengths and weaknesses in the City.

Message from the Chubbuck Police Department
Those who wish to commit crimes are well aware Chubbuck is a nice place to live and for that reason they will
look for easy opportunities to get what they want. Be aware of your property and your neighbors as well. Report
any suspicious activity to the Police Department, lock your doors to your home and to your garages when away, and
place valuables out of sight and lock your vehicles.
Just a reminder about parking and snow removal. Be courteous to your neighbors and customers by removing
snow and ice from walk ways, sidewalks and parking lots. City code (Ord: 08-28-030) requires owners or renters of
properties to provide “all weather passage” to pedestrians, which means you must shovel your snow. Additionally,
we ask that those who plow, shovel or blow snow into city streets not to do so. Please place your snow on your
property and not upon the city streets.
Winter parking becomes a problem when those who park on the streets (legally and illegally) are in the way of
snow removal equipment. Please park all vehicles off the street if at all possible during winter to facilitate snow
removal. If a snow emergency is declared by the Mayor, those who fail to remove their vehicle may have it towed to
an alternate location and face paying a tow bill.
A Reminder from Chubbuck Animal Control about Chubbuck City Code:
9.20.030: ANIMALS AT LARGE:
The owner, custodian or keeper of any animal which roams, runs or strays
away from the premises where the animal is owned, harbored or kept, shall
be guilty of an infraction. (Ord. 523 § 1, 2000)
9.20.031: OFFENSES:
The owner, custodian or keeper whose animal does any of the following acts
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor:
A. Bite or attempt to bite any person.
B. Scatter garbage other than that located on the premises of the owner,
custodian or keeper.
C. Chase any person, vehicle or animal outside of the premises of the
owner, custodian or keeper.
D. Deposit fecal material on any property not that of its owner, custodian
or keeper.
E. Bark, howl or otherwise cause noise which disturbs or is likely to
disturb the peace and quiet of any person.
F. Trespass upon the property of another person.
G. Cause property damage or personal injury of any kind other than to
the owner, custodian or keeper or the property of the owner, custodian
or keeper. (Ord. 418 § 2, 1994)
