HomeMy WebLinkAbout09City of Chubbuck Newsletter Vol. 3Issue 9 Message from the Mayor: September 2008 I extend a THANK YOU to all those who contributed in any way to the success of our Chubbuck Days celebra- tion this year, from city staff and volunteers, who planned and carried out our activities, to all who attended. It was an unqualified success and just plain a whole lot of fain. I would encourage anyone who has some ideas for next year or would like to volunteer to help to please contact us. We are again planning on the second weekend in August, which in 2009 is August 8'''. Put it on your calendar now and come be a part of this celebration of Chubbuck's 60th year as a city. Two major projects in the city are well on their way to completion: the Adams & Lucky Street upgrades and the new maintenance shop that has been added to allow for the maintenance of our sanitation trucks. First, we ex- press our appreciation to the residents of Lucky and Adams, as well as the surrounding neighborhoods, for your cooperation and a general "good nature" related to the inconveniences of the construction. We are still planning for completion the first part of October. And second, the new maintenance facility will help us continue provid- ing high quality garbage service, especially during the winter months. It will also improve our ability to service the entire city fleet. As we come to the end of the summer, we encourage you to complete those projects that will prepare your prop- erty for winter. Please be observant of school zones and bus stops, as well as anywhere children may gather re- lated to getting back into school. Thanks to all for making Chubbuck such a great place to live and do business. Fall 2008 Roller Hockey September 2nd - October 16th Who says there's nothing to do around here? Come play roller hockey!
