HomeMy WebLinkAbout08City of Chubbuck Newsletter Vol. 2 Issue 8 August 2007 Message from the Mayor: I hope you are all planning to participate with us this year in the Chubbuck Days celebration. The parade and festival are scheduled for Saturday August 11`h. We are also planning some additional activities Friday evening. We have in- cluded more detailed information on the back of this newsletter. Our effort is to make this a real fun, exciting and family oriented experience. Bring your friends and neighbors, and we'll see you there. The city is involved in many projects that are moving us forward. You have probably heard though other news sources that we are pursuing provisions for additional sewer capacity in our impact area, which is basically to the west and north of the city. The major reasons for this effort are first to protect the aquifer by eliminating the need for individual septic systems and second to help provide for orderly growth. We are currently in the final stages of developing a Joint Powers Authority with Pocatello and Bannock County to move this effort forward. We have been pleased with the cooperative spirit of these two government bodies, as well as the other interested parties. We will strive to keep you informed with this newsletter and other means as this important plan for our future moves along. To those of you who are receiving this newsletter for the first time, we say welcome and hope you enjoy living in our fair city. To those who have been here a while, we hope you find the newsletter to be fun and informative. Let's all continue to make Chubbuck a great place to live and do business.
