WELL NUMBER 5 IMPROVEMENTS the Idaho State Journal, a daily newspaper,
Sealed bids for Well No. 5 Improvements located printed and published at Pocatello, Bannock
at 4070 Hawthorne Road and other related County, Idaho and having a General circulation
work as set forth in the contract documents for - -
this project will be received by The City of
Chubbuck at 5160 Yellowstone Avenue, Chub -
buck, Idaho, 83202 , until 2:00 p.m. local time
on Tuesday August 14, 2007, at which time
bids duly submitted will be opened and read
aloud.
The work involves adding an emergency standby
generator, converting to a variable frequency
drive, adding a sand filter system to the well
discharge, and constructing building additions
to house new equipment. It is the intent of
these documents to describe the work required
to complete this project in sufficient detail to se-
cure comparable bids. All parts or work not
specifically mentioned which are necessary in
order to provide a complete installation shall be
included in the bid and shall conform to all Lo-
cal, State and Federal requirements.
The Project Manual, Drawings and Exhibits may
be examined at the following locations:
1) City of Chubbuck Public Works offices, 5160
Yellowstone Ave., Chubbuck, Idaho
2) Boulder Engineering, LLC, 811 West Cedar
St., Pocatello, Idaho, 83201
3) Associated General Contractors, 984 John
Adams Parkway, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83401
4) Builders Exchange, 120 North 12th Ave., Suite
No. 8, Pocatello, Idaho 83201
The Project Manual, Drawings and Exhibits may
be purchased at Boulder Engineering, LLC,
811 West Cedar St., Pocatello, Idaho, 83201
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $100.
In determining the lowest responsive bid, the
Owner will consider all acceptable bids on a ba-
sis consistent with the bid package. The Own-
er will also consider whether the bidder is a re-
sponsible bidder.
Before a contract will be awarded for work con-
templated herein, the Owner will conduct such
investigation as is necessary to determine the
performance record and ability of the apparent
low bidder to perform the size and type of work
specified under this Contract. Upon request,
the bidder shall submit such information as
deemed necessary by the Owner to evaluate
the bidder's qualifications.
Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the
form of either a bid bond, certified check, cash-
iers check or cash in the amount of five percent
(5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. Said
bid security shall be forfeited to the City of
Chubbuck as liquidated damages should the
successful bidder fail to enter into contract in
therein.
That the document or notice, a true copy of
which is attached, was published in the said
IDAHO STATE JOURNAL, on the following
dates, to -wit:

That said paper has been continuously and
uninterruptedly published in said County for
a period of seventy-eight weeks prior to the
publication of said notice of advertisement
and is a newspa er within the meaning of the laws
of Idaho.
