OILDINANCE NO. 45
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VIL-
LAGE OF CHUBBUT BANNOCK
'COUNTY, IDAHO, AMENDING SEC-
TION ,9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 18 OF
THE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK RE-
(LATING TO THE COLLECTION OF
DELINQUENT WATER ACCOUNTS
AND PROVIDING FOR THE SHUT-
TING OFF OF THE WATER TO ANY
DELINQUENT WATER USERS; PRO-
VIIYiNG FOR TURNING THE WATER
BACK ON UPON PAYMENT OF
THE FEE; PROVIDING FOR T
INSTALLATION OF NEW AN
SEPARATE WATER CONNECTIONS
FOR EACH BUILDING WHERE IT
IS IMPOSSIBLE TO EFFECTIVELY
TURN OFF THE WATER BY REA-
SON OF CROSS -CONNECTIONS,
AND PROVIDING THAT IN SUCH'
CASES THE REGULAR HOOKUP
CHARGE PROVIDED IN SECTION
12 OF ORDINANCE NO. 18 AS AM-
ENDED SHALL BE CHARGED AND
COLLECTED; REPEALING ALL OR-
DINANCES OR PARTS THEREOF
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
I)ECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CHAIR-
MAN AND THE BOARD OF TRUST-
EES OF THE VILLAGE OF CHUB -
BUM BANNOCK COUNTY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Section 9 of Ordi-
nance Number 18 of the Village of
Chubbuck shall be and hereby is am-
ended to read as follows.
,Section 9. When any water rental
becomes delinquent the Village Clerk
shall, within three days thereafter,
prepare a I" of all delinquent water
rentals, which list shall contain the
named of the water user, his address,
the address of the property where
the water was used, and tlxe amount
Of money owing and delinquent. A
copy of such list shall be delivered
promptly to the water superintendent,
and it shall be the duty of the water
superintendent to
t-
shuoff the water
from all premises sho*n ah^the de-
linquent list within twenty4our hours
after receiving such list, a water
shall not be turned ba�k'�n again
until the delinquent �s&otalit shall'
have been paid in full, 14gether with
a charge of $2.00 for afurning the
water off and on. Paymsrit of the
delinquent account, together with
the charge for turning t$e ,coater off
and on, shall be made to the Village
Clerk, and the Clerk shall then give
to the water superintendent. -a- wl•it- ,

In any case where delinquency oc-
curs in a water account, and inhere
it is impossible to effectively turn
off the water. by reason .of multiple
connections, cross -connections, or im
properly located connertions'of Water,
pipes, the water superin$'eiiii"evk shall,
before turning the water back on,
install a separate water connection
for such building, and shall not. allow
the water to be 'turned on through
any such new connection mtt.il any
cross -connections, multiple . connec-
tions, or any other defective connec-
tion shall have been permanently and
completely severed and disconnected
from theChubbuck water system,
Wherever it becomes necessary to
make a separate connection under
the provisions above set out, and the
water having been turned•off for de-
linquent water charge, the Village
Clerk shall charge and collect from
such water user the regular hookup
charge provided by ordinance, in ad-
dition to the delinquent account pay-
ment in full, before the water shall
be turned back on again and be de-
livered to such building,
Section 2. That all ordinances or
parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 1 That this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, and pub-
lication as required by law, an emer-
gency existing therefor.

published in the said IDAHO STATE JOURNAL, on the following dates,
