ORDINANCE NO. 169
AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO,
AMENDING ORDINANCES
NUMBERED 77 AND 108,
ENACTED ON MAY 28, 1968,
AND MAY 9, 1972, RESPEC-
TIVELY, TO INCREASE FROM
SEVEN TO NINE THE NUMBER
OF MEMBERS OF THE CITY
PLANNING COMMISSION;
SPECIFYING TERMS OF AND
QUALIFICATIONS FOR OF-
FICE; PROVIDING THAT
ADOPTION OF THIS OR,
DINANCE SHALL NOT
PRECLUDE THE CITY FROM
SUDSEQUENTLY RESTRUC-
TURING THE COMMISSION AS
REQUIRED BETTER TO
PERFORM ITS FUNCTIONS OR
I TO COMPLY WITH STATE=
i LAW; AND PROVIDING WHEN
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO:
Section 1: Ordinance No. 10B of
the City of Chubbuck, Idaho,
enacted on May 9,1972, which
modifies Ordinance No. 77
enacted on May 28, 1968, is hereby
amended at Section 1 as follows:
SECTION 1: That Section 1,
subparagraph 1.2 of Ordinance
No. 77 of that City of Chubbuck,
Idaho, passed on the 28th day of
May, 1968, be modified to read as
follows:
MEMBERSHIP: The Planning
Commission shall consist of seven
nine members to be appointed by
the Mayor with the consent and
approval of the Council, one of
which members shall be a
member of the Council, provided
further that one member ap-
pointed shall also be a member of
the Bannock County Planning
Committee or similar in.
tergovernmental planning
agency.
TERMS OF OFFICE: The
Member who is a member of the
Council shall serve for an in.
definite time at the pleasure of the
Mayor and other members of the
Council. The other such members
shall serve as follows: three four
of such members shall serve for a
term of two years and three four
members shall serve a term of
four years, the respective terms
of office to be determined by lot at
the first meeting held after the
effective date of this Ordinance.
As between the two additional
offices created by this amen-
datory ordinance, the deter-
mination of which shall have an
initial term of four years and
which shall have an initial term of
two years, will be accomplished
by lot at the first meeting held
after the effective date of this
amendatory ordinance.
Thereafter the term of office for
each appointive member shall be
for four years.
RESIDENCE REQUIREM-
ENTS: One member of the
Commission may be a non-
resident of the City of Chubbuck
who resides within one mile of the
City limits of the City of Chub -
buck; all other members shall be
residents and taxpayers of the
Citv of Chuhhuck

was at all times herein mentioned a citizen of the United States of
America, more than 21 years of age, and the Principal Cleric of THE
IDAHO STATE JOURNAL, a daily newspaper, printed and published at
Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho, and having a general circulation
therein.
That the document or notice, a true copy of which is attached, was
published in the said IDAHO STATE JOURNAL, on the following dates,
to -wit:

That said paper has been continuously and uninterruptedly pub-

the meaning of the laws of Idah .
