ORDINANCE NO. 186
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO,
AMENDING THE GENERAL
CRIMINAL CODE (ORDINANCE
NO. 185) TO PROVIDE THAT
CERTIFICATION THAT A DOG
IS NEUTERED OR SPAYED
MAY BE MADE BY THE
CHIEF OF POLICE OR HIS DE-
SIGNEE AS WELL AS A LI
CENSED VETERINARIAN; FUR-
THER AMENDING SAID OROi
NANCE TO PROVIDE= THAT IT
SHALL BE UNLAWFUL AND
PUNISHABLE AS A MISDE-
MEANOR To EVADE OR AT-
TEMPT TO EVADE PAYING
THE FEE FOR CLAIMING AN
IMPOUNDED ANIMAL; AND
PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDI
NANCE SHALL BECOME EF-
FECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO.
SECTION 1: Amendment of Gen-
eral Criminal Code.
Sectioin 5(A) of Chubbuck City
Ordinance No. 185, enacted on
the 151h day of November 1977 is
hereby amended as follows:
A. Licensing of Dogs. It 5ha$l be
unlawful and punishable as a
misdemeanor for any person to
own, harbor, 'keep or possess a
dog over the age of four (4)
months within the City. without
complying with the license provi-
sions herein. Applications shall be
made in writing to the City
Clerk, in a form prescribed by
the Clerk; and licenses shall be
issued on a calendar year basis
upon payment of the following
fees: for each dog certified by a
licensed veterinarian, or by the
Chief of Police or his designee,
as neutered or spayed, 83.00 per
year or fraction thereof; for each
dog not sa certified, $5.00 per
year or fraction thereof; and for
each dog in excess of two at any
single premises, s10.00 per such
additional dog whether of not
neutered or spayed. Provided,
however, that when any dog shall
be temporarily in the City, for a
period less than thirty days, the
owner or person having charge of
the dog may obtain a temporary
license at no cost. A license tag
shall be issued with each license,
and such tag shall be securely
attached to a substantial, durable
collar that the dog shall wear at
all times.
SECTION 2: Evasion of Claim
Fee. Section 5(c) (3) of said
Chubbuck City Ordinance No. 185
is hereby amended as follows:
(3). The Chlei of Police or his
designee may dispose of an im.
pounded animal after five or
more days have elapsed following
notice of impoundment. An ani
mal may be claimed prior to dis
position upon payment of a fee of
$15.00 for the first confinement
or $20.00 for any second or sub
sequent confinement of the same
animal, plus the actual cost of
care and custody of the animal,
as reasonably determined by the
Chief of Police. I1 shall be un-
lawful

America, more than 21 years of age, and the Principal Cleric of THE
IDAHO STATE JOURNAL, a daily newspaper, printed and published at
Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho, and having a general circulation
therein.
That the document -or notice, a true copy of which is attached, was
published in the said IDAHO STATE JOURNAL., on the following dates,
to -wit:
