ORDINANCE NO. 278
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
CHUBBUCK, IDAHO ADOPTING THE
1985 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM ME-
CHANICAL CODE PUBLISHED BY THE
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF
BUILDING OFFICIALS AND INTERNA-
TIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PLUMBING
AND MECHANICAL OFFICIALS: PRO-
VIDING FOR ADOPTION OF FUTURE
EDITIONS OF SAID UNIFORM ME-
CHANICAL CODE BY RESOLUTION OF
THE CITY COUNCIL PURSUANT TO
THIS ORDINANCE; REQUIRING THE
CITY CLERK TO MAINTAIN ON FILE
IN THE CHUBBUCK CITY OFFICES
THREE COPIES OF SAID UNIFORM
MECHANICAL CODE TOGETHER
WITH AMENDMENTS THERETO AND
RESOLUTIONS ADOPT 11,10 3uci.i
AMENDMENTS; REPEALING ALL
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES TO THE
EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICTS; PRO-
VIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR
AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHUBBUCK, IDAHO:
SECTION I: Adoption of Uniform Me-
chanical Code. That certain document,
three (3) copies of which are on file in the
office of the City Clerk, Chubbuck City
Offices, being marked and designated as
the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1985 Edi-
tion, published by the International Con-
ference of Building officials and the
International Association of Plumbing
and Mechanical Officials, shall be and the
same is hereby adopted as the Code of
the City of Chubbuck for regulating the
installation and maintenance of heating,
ventilating, cooling and refrigeration sys-
tems installed in all buildings or struc-
tuCes in the City of Chubbuck. Each and
all of .the regulations, provisions, condi-
tions, and terms of such Uniform Me-
chanical Code, 1985 Edition, on file in the
office of the City of Chubbuck are hereby
referred to, adopted and made a part
hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance.
SECTION If: Procedure for Adoption of
Future Editions. Future editions of said
Uniform Mechanical Code may be adopt-
ed, as the same are published from time
to time by the International Conference of
Building Officials and International Asso-
ciation of Plumbing and Mechanical Offi-
cials or their successor organizations, by
resolution, which shall indentify with
particularity the edition of said Uniform
Mechanical Code so adopted and shall
recite that it is adopted pursuant to this
ordinance.
SECTION 111. Filing. Three (3) copies of
the 1985 Edition of the Uniform Mechani-
cal Code, together with three (3) copies of
any future amendments thereto and the
resolutions of the Mayor and Council
adopting said amendments, all to be
certified by the City Clerk, shall be
maintained on file in the Clerk's office for
use and examination by the public.
SECTION IV. Repeal of Conflicting Ordi-
nances. Any provision of any prior ordi-
nance which conflicts with the provisions
of this ordinance, or of the uniform
Mechanical Code as herein adopted, and
which cannot be construed consistently
with this ordinance or said Uniform
Mechanical Code, is hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
SECTION V. Severability. If any Section,
paragraph, clause or provision of this
ordinance or of Uniform Mechanical Code
as herein adopted, is held invalid by any
court of compentant lurisidiction, for any
reason, such holding shall not effect the
vailidity of enforceability of any of the

STATE JOURNAL, a daily newspaper, printed and published at Pocatello,
Bannock County, Idaho, and having a general circulation therein.
That the document or notice, a true copy of which is attached, was
published in the said IDAHO STATE JOURNAL, on the following dates,
to -wit:

That said paper has been continuously and uninterruptedly published
in said County for a period of seventy-eight weeks prior to the publication
of said notice or advertisement and is a newspaper within the meaning
of the laws
