County of Bannock ORDINANCE NO. 359 CITY OF CHUI=sBUCK, IDAHO AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHUBSUCK, IDAHO, AMENDING SECTION 9.20.044 OF THE CHUBBUCK MLl�1CIPAL _CODE TO PROVIDE FOR ADOP- TION FEES AND OWNER RELEA.IE FEES FOR ANIMALS; TO PROVIDE RULES FOR THE RELEASE OF ANIMALS FROM THE IMPOUNDMENT FACIL- ITY; AMENDING 9.20.045 TO CHANGE THE ADOPTION FEES; AMENDING SECTION 9.20.021 TO PROVIDE ALL LICENSE FEES DOUBLE IF NOT PAID ON TIME; REPEALING PRIOR CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR THE SEVERABILITY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING THAT ALL OTHER SECTIONS AND PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 9.20 NOT HEREIN AMENDED SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT; AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHUB - BUCK, IDAHO; Section 1. Amended Section 9.20.044. Section 9.20.044 of the Chubbuck Munici- pal Code is amended to read as follows: 9.20.044 Redemption of impounded animals. The owner, keeper or lawful custo- dian of any animal impounded under the provisions of this chapter may reclaim such animal within sixty hours after receiving personal notice, or after the mailing of the notice; provided however, that a dog shall be released to the owner or custodian only upon payment of the dog license fee. if unpaid, and payment of all impoundment charges, fees for running at large and costs of boarding said animal, which charges shall be as follows: Within any 12 month Animal, Cat Spayed or Unspayed or period Neutered Dog Unneutered Dog First impoundment Impoundment charge $20.00 $25.00 Running at large 20.00 25.00 Board charge/day 2.00 2.50 Second impoundment Impoundment charge $40.00 $50.00 Running at large 40.00 50.00 Board charge/day 4.OD 5.00 Third impoundment $80.00 $100.00 Impoundment charge 80 00 100.00 Running at large 8.00 10.00 Board chargelday No dog shall be released from impoundment until a current license for the dog has been obtained. Section 2. Amend Section 9.20.045. Section 9.20.045 of the Chubbuck Municipal code is amended to read as follows: 9.20.045 Disposition of Unclaimed Animals and Dead Animals and Release of Animals to City. A. It shalt be the duty of the animal control officer to keep, or arrange for the keeping, of all impounded animals if unclaimed, for a period of sixty hours following the giving of personal notice. If, at the expiration of such time, such animal shall not have been reclaimed, the animal control officer may place the animal in a suitable home or cause the animal to be humanely euthanized.
