NANCE NO. 470
An Ordinance of the City
of Chubbuck, a munici-
pal corporation of the
state of Idaho, adding
Chapter 15.48 to the
Chubbuck Municipal
Code to provide for key
box and hazardous ma-
terial information unit
boxes; providing, pursu-
ant to Section 902.4 of
the 1994 Edition Uni-
form Fire Cade which
premises must have a
key box, adopting the
Knox Box System as
the key box required;
setting forth procedures
for the use of said key
boxes; providing for the
chief to determine the
location of any key box;
providing installation
procedures and for in-
stallation records; pro-
viding that access keys
will be issued to fire ap-
paratus and controlled
electrically by a circuit
that is continuously
logged when a key is
removed; providing
when hazardous materi-
al information unit box-
es shall be required;
adopting the Knox Box
HazMat Cabinet as the
box for use in the City of
Chubbuck where desig-
nated hazardous mate-
rials are kept; providing
what contents shall be
kept in said box and
where said box shall be
located; providing that
the cost of any such
units as well as acces-
sories shall be born by
the building owner or
occupant; providing for
the effective date of the
ordinance as to all new
construction and provid-
ing for such to be in-
stalled within one year
for other properties and
sites that are within the
scope of the ordinance;
providing for the repeal
of conflicting ordinanc-
es; providing for the
severability of the provi-
sions of this ordinance;
providing that this ordi-
nance shall be in full
force and effect after its
passage, approval, and
publication as allowed
by law.
