DESIGN REVIEW SUBJECT: Auto Sales Lot ast 5209 Yellowstone Ave.

APPLICANT: Benito Chavez, 10 18 N. Harrison Ave., Pocatello, Idaho.
PROJECT TITLE: Auto Sales Lot
Present: Mayor John 0. Cotant, Attorney Tom Holmes, Steve Smart, Ray Griffin, Eric King, Ron
Conlin, Jim Phelps and Larry Kohntopp.
Benito Chavez, 10 18 N. Harrison is asking for a new business operation. Mr. Chavez proposes to
fence the property, asphalt the sales area, install the landscape strip, and use a temporary
"mobile home sales office" until he can afford to build an office/shop combination. Mr.
Chavez said he would like to place two semi -trailers to store his vintage cars in until he
can get the cars sold.
Steve Smart suggested an 8' setback for highway right -a -way be included on Yellowstone Ave.
Mr. Chavez was told the City might allow a maximum six month temporary mobile home sales
office if approved.
The following was discussed:
1. 10' Landscaping requirement w/automatic sprinkling.
2. Asphalt parking lot, off street parking and roadway approach.
3. Required to enter into a shared access agreement with neighbor to the south.
4. Fencing required.
5. Two semi -trailers for storage.
After discussion, Mr. Chavez was directed to get his financing and present a site plan showing
the above requirements. Jim Phelps will go to Mr. Chavez's Harrison Street address to
see when his current business looks like.

DESIGN REVIEW MEETING APPLICATION
The purpose of this application is to establish a meeting and review time with the City of
Chubbuck Design Review Team consisting of the: Mayor, Building Official, City Planner,
City Engineer, Fire Marshal, Police Chief and other City staff as required. The Design Review
Team meets every Tuesday morning between the hours of 10:30 and 12:00 Noon
This team will work in unison, with you, to establish the criteria for your project as it
relates to the adopted ordinances of the City of Chubbuck. Keep in mind, this is an
informal review and is only conducted on submitted applications. This is a review team
not a design team. Provide (6) six sets of drawings at least one week in advance of your
scheduled meeting. Formal reviews of your plans or project by City staff is conducted
after formal application. Once you make your appointment and it is verified it is very
important to keep that appointment so others can be scheduled accordingly.
