The following Commissioners/Assistants were present Mark Buffat Brad, Christensen, Alan Evans, Scott Gross, Ron Hanson, Todd Hulings, Brian Nield, Jason Qualls, Scott Raschke, and Jimmy Robinson. Also present Scott Ferro, Gary Winters, and Danielle Swan, taking minutes of the meeting. Jimmy Robbinson, League President, conducted meeting. Scott Ferro wanted to update the committee on a couple of past issues from committee meetings, there will be no discounts for families with multiple siblings. Provisions for families with multiple children fall under scholarships. Scott further stated that the cost of registration will be raised $15 and that when Committee members are approached from public with interest in why fees were raised they are to say that cost involved with replacing jerseys because of loss, theft, destruction, or an increased enrollment and cleaning have become too substantial for the league to maintain without an increase in fees. The age by time of enrollment will change next season to being of division age by April Pt instead of August 1". This will create some children to spend one season longer in 1 age division but only will occur once. The responsibility of ordering jerseys will be that of coaches to make sure they get the proper size of each player. They will have 10 days to get number of jerseys and sizes. Each year the shirt and hat colors will change for each sponsor. Bylaw topic heading "Equipment" will be changed to "Equipment and Uniforms". Bylaw 81 under topic heading Equipment and Uniform will be changed to state that unifoiiii pants are provided by Chubbuck league and that players that choose to provide their own pant will be required to have the same color of pant as what is provided by the Chubbuck league. Bylaw 82 under topic heading Equipment and Uniform will be changed to state that Coaches and players participating in Chubbuck League will be required to wear uniform hat and jersey provided by Chubbuck League on the field or they will not be allowed on the field. Bylaw 35 has an addition of"A." and it states that Siblings as defined as a blood relative, step relative, and any relationship the placement will be decided on a case by case basis by League commission. Guest speaker, Dave Cooper, Sales manager of Litha stated that he looked at several aspects of sponsoring the Chubbuck Leagues and that he liked the idea of sponsoring the league in a way that all children would benefit and not just the All Stars. He is working on Litha sponsoring the league tournament and possibly the fields. It was noted that Dave is currently working on getting $3000 for field sponsorship which is $500 per field. Litha will also be providing their own sign for the sponsorship. Scott stated that he like to see where the league would pick up another super sponsor for the score boards, that Chubbuck already has the best fields in all of Idaho and that with new score boards and fencing that Chubbuck would have overall best baseball field in all of Idaho. Last year there were between 18-20 team sponsors last year, that there were not enough teams for the sponsors and that at least 3 were turned away. It was stated that 25% of the players last year provided their own baseball pant. If a player has his own pant it must match the league color of baseball pant. Teams will be drawn the night of the draft. Brian Atkinson will be helping Mark with finding sponsors and Scott will be helping find super sponsors. • Coaches, coach assistants and super league players have been noted as leaving their teams short in order to participate in super league events. Last year one team not only didn't have a coach but 'A the team was missing on a tournament breaker game that they ended up having to forfeit. In this years coaches meeting it will be stated that Chubbuck league will be first in priority and then super league or they will not need to coach, assist in coaching or play within the league. The game is about the kids and not about participate training for super league. It was stated that any commissioner wanting to be on board must have had a minimum time being involved in the league such as coaching or assistant coaching. This is necessary as to the influx that is expected in the future with merging city leagues. It was discussed that in the future it would be necessary to cap off number of teams allowed so that the league doesn't become overloaded from the expected influx. It was stated that Becky Jorgenson has interest of having their pony teams play in Chubbuck league. It was further discussed that it would be necessary that they would have to come to Chubbuck to play. They would have to show that they have enough numbers to be able to participate. Before making any decisions it would be necessary to find out the number of Pony players that they have before letting them join our league. Chubbuck League will not travel beyond Pocatello and American Falls. Sign-ups will be March 4th, 11th, and 18th. Draft will be held April 4th and 5th. Games will start April 17th. Tournament will be held June 12th-24th . Chubbuck Classic will be July 6th - 8th. It was stated that a member of the league would need to be at each registration. Registration will be from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Next meeting will be Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Chubbuck City Hall. Commissioners meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m. Approved Date
