Regular Meeting of Commissioners
June 12, 2003
A regular meeting of the baseball Commissioners was called to order in the City of Chubbuck
Council Chambers at 9:07 p.m. with prior notice sent to public and the Commissioners.
The following Commissioners/Assistants were present David Acevedo, Darren Allen, Mark
Buffat, Coy Bowman, Tom Davie, Darren Evans, Scott Ferro, Clay Gummersal, Shane Standley,
Brent Stenersen, Tony Williams, Gary Winters.
Also present were Dave Ruckdaschel, Jason Qualls, Lonnie Melton, Dee Burwell, RT Howerton,
Elton Young, Brad Winters, Scott Stranski, Scott Hansen,Mike Jones, Make Dunce, Tony
Harrol, Troy Nalley, Randy Jensen, Bobbie Harrol, Clarence Cody, Greg Burch, Scott Gross,
Doug Burrows, Wade Johnson,Norris Fulmer, Mitch Sheer, Eric King, Michael Mc Nonash and
Danielle Madsen, taking minutes of the meeting.
Brent Stenersen, League President, conducted meeting.
Minutes from May 1, 2003 approved by David Acevedo and seconded by Tony Williams.
Brent thanked all the commissioners for their work.
David Acevedo motioned for nominations for a league president. Doug Burrows nominated
Brent Stenersen seconded by Lonnie,with no other nominations Scott Gross closed the
nominations. David Acevedo called for a vote and Brent Stenersen was re-elected as league
president.
Brent Stenersen called for nominations for new commissioners. It was stated that if elected that it
was necessary for the commissioner to be at the monthly meetings that are held, that they need to
be present at sign-ups. The following were nominated: Doug Burrows, Dee Burwell, Scott Gross,
Tony Haral, Richard Livermore, Dave Ruckdaschel, Jimmy Robinson, Shane Standley, Tony
Williams, Gary Winters, and Elton Young. Nominations were closed by David Acevedo and
seconded by Tony Williams. Voting on election of commissioners started at 9:40 p.m. The
following six were elected: Doug Burrows, Scott Gross, Shane Stanley, Tony Williams, Gary
Winters and Elton Young.
Read and discussed directly from 2002 Pony baseball rules/regulation book it was stated that
Pony rule#9 is to be used for tournament, that the coach must fill out official pitching record.
Mustang-pitchers shall not pitch more than 3 innings per day and 6 innings per week with 40
hour rest rule after 3 innings. Bronco and Pony-pitchers shall not be allowed to pitch in more
than 7 innings per day and 10 innings per week with 40 hours rest rule after 4 innings. Pony- 4 or
less teams, allowed to pitch 16 total in tournament.
It was stated that the last day of tournament that all kids need to bring a change of clothing as
uniforms will need to be turned in and that the kids will receive their pictures when turning in
their uniforms only if they have paid their money.
Chubbuck tournaments will be held July 10, 11 and 12th. If using a team to play in tournament
from Chubbuck, equipment can be checked from Gary Winters but will need to be turned in when
done for that day.
Soda Springs will not be playing as they do not have enough kids.
Discussion of calling games by doing one of the following: putting in a 2 hour time limit until
May 15th and 2 V2 hour time limit after May 15', or suspending a game to the next day do to light
and time factors or having 3 commissioners at games to call the game, or having coach and
referee to call game together. No decision was made. It was mentioned that 4 to 5 times this year
there was a problem with games running late.
Tournament games will start Monday, June 16, 2003. Coin flip will decide home team.
