HomeMy WebLinkAbout09 02 2015 CMCITY OF CHUBBUCK COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES SEPTEMBER 2, 2015 — 6:00PM CALL TO ORDER by Mayor England PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG led by Councilmember Marshall INVOCATION was offered by Norman Reece PROCLAMATION for National Recovery Month was read by Mayor England, JoAnn Martinez accepted the proclamation. GENERAL BUSINESS: Jeffrey Creer, CHB Development, 476 W 325 S Bountiful, Utah, is requesting an adjustment for the parking requirement for new developments located at 204 Bullock. Mr. Creer represents Freddy's Steak and Frozen Custard and the Black Bear Diner. There are 100 seats in Freddy's and 160 seats in the Black Bear Diner. The developer is requesting 69 parking stalls for the Black Bear and 49 Stalls for Freddy's. With the developers experience this has been sufficient and meets the City's requirement if using the square footage of the dining area rather than the square footage of the whole building. Councilmember Ellis moved to grant the adjustment for the parking requirement, approving 69 stalls for the Black Bear and 49 Stalls for Freddy's. Councilmember Marshall seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes, Marshall -yes. 2. Ratification of the Chubbuck Development Board appointments of seat #7 Tom Nield and the remaining term of seat #4 Deloy Stuart. Mayor England explained that Tom Nield would be serving a second term. Deloy Stuart would be filling the remaining term of Blake Jones who has moved. Councilmember Ellis moved ratify the appointments to the Chubbuck Development Board. Councilmember Morrison seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes, Marshall -yes. 3. Adoption of Ordinance 748, Solid Waste, final reading. Tom Holmes, City Attorney read the ordinance for the final time. There was no further discussion. Councilmember Ellis moved to waive the rule the ordinance be read in full. Councilmember Marshall seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes, Marshall -yes. Councilmember Lewis moved to adopt ordinance number 748. Councilmember Marshall seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes, Marshall -yes. 4. Presentation of the Mission Life Line Silver Award given by the American Heart Association to the Chubbuck Fire Department. Chief King explained the award received by the Chubbuck Fire Department and thanked the council for their support. CLAIMS: Computer printout claims for September 2, 2015 as presented to Mayor England and Council. Councilmember Ellis moved to approve the claims as presented. Councilmember Morrison seconded.
