HomeMy WebLinkAbout07 15 2015 CMZ VI CITY OF CHUBBUCK COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES JULY 15 2015 — 6:00PM CALL TO ORDER PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: Councilmember Ellis lead the pledge. INVOCATION: John Robinson offered the invocation. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Councilmember Morrison moved to approve the meeting minutes of June 29 and July 1, 2015 and the Study Session Minutes of July 1, 2015. Councilmember Marshall seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes, Marshall -yes. GENERAL BUSINESS: 1. Brent Wilson, Mountain West, Idaho Falls ID, requested an adjustment to the parking requirement for a restaurant looking to locate at the Shops on Bullock. Mr. Wilson explained the due diligence they had done the number of parking spaces if the City were to require a strict interpretation of the ordinance. Mr. Wilson would propose the current 30 parking spaces for the new restaurant is sufficient and would meet the requirement of the ordinance if only the square footage of the dining area is used in the calculation. Councilmember Lewis moved to grant the waiver for the parking requirement and reduce the number of required parking spaces to 30 for the restaurant looking to locate on Bullock. Councilmember Marshall seconded. Roll call vote: Ellis -yes, Lewis -yes, Morrison -yes, Marshall -yes. 2. Adoption of Ordinance XXX, Storm Water Management, second reading. Councilmember Lewis would like to see a mechanism for enforcement on the record keeping requirement. Tom Holmes read the ordinance for the second time. CLAIMS: Computer printout claims for July 15, 2015 as presented to Mayor England and Council. Councilmember Marshall asked about patches on Yellowstone. Steve Smart explained that the patches were the City's responsibility because of a water break. Councilmember Marshall asked about the softball uniforms. The Softball program is self -funding. The City is doing the bookkeeping for the program. Councilmember Marshall moved to approve the claims as presented. Councilmember Lewis seconded.
