Minutes o£ the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck,
held in the Municipal Building of the Village of Chubbuckon April 15, 1965
Present- Hillman~ Worsencroft~ Underwood, and McDevitt.
Absent- Ward, oat of town and Christensen, excused for illness.
Called to order at 8:05 P.M.
Minutes of the last regular meeting read and approved as read.
Bills for month presented to Board. Motion to approve payment made by Hillman,
seconded by Worsencroft. Ail in favor. The bill for Campbell Construction for
street sweeping was questioned, and the decision of the Board was to pay $15.00,
instead of the $65.00 Campbell claimed. Underwood stated that Campbell had
contacted him and agreed to do the job for $110.00, then Campbell billed the
businesses for $95.00 and the difference of $15.O0 is ~nat the Board approved.
Financial and Police reports for month presented to Board.
Sewer Survey- Clark reported that Survey is ready, but Ballif wants to check
into Federal Aid before presenting s~vey to Board. Worsencroft explained that
to get Federal Aid, we have to fill our forms for it and get a Federal Loan.
Then if a Bond Issue was passed by the Village, the loan would be repaid out of
the bond issue, but if the Bond issue failed to pass, we wo~mld owe nothing.
Beer License at Fairgrounds for J.C.'s. - Motion to approve Beer License made
by Billman, seconded by Underwood. Ail in favor. Clerk will mail license.
Fire Truck- Discussion. Mr. Turner of Sawtooth Fire Equipment Co. was present
and explained fire trucks and cost. They are Custom B~milt and cost is according to
equipment required. They are available on a Lease-Option agreement. Base cost
would be approximately $16,O00~OO plus desired equipment. If the Village would
obtain one, then they could ontyuse it for fires inside the limits of the Village.
It could only be used outside the limits if we had a joint ownership of the truck
with the County. Worsencroft suggested that we should draw up specifications for
a truck and then let it out for bids. Before this would be done we will have a
special meeting on Fire Equipment only, and also meet with Snake River Mutual
Insurance and explore all possibilities before pursuing this matter further.
Street Lights- Clerk is to check with Idaho Power Co. and see why the 5 new
street lights have not been installed, as ordered last November, 196~.
Sanitation- Clark is to write a letter to the owners of Armstrong's Laundracenter
and request that they clean up the litter from their sewer.
Park- Sprinkler system for edge of Park. Motion made by Worsencroft, seconded by
Hillman, that Brennan go ahead with installing a sprinkler system for the east
edge of the park, around the curbing. All in favor of motion. Cost approximately
$125.00.
Zoning- Worsencroft explained that he has had reports that there are plans for
a salvage yard to be built on the west side of the railroad tracks and north of
Chubbuck Road. He wanted to know if we can prevent this. Decision was that
zoning will take care of this.
Audit- Dale Jones was present and explained the Audit of the Village books
for the years of 1965 ~nd ~964 in full. Motion to accept the Audit made bv ~
Hillman, seconded by Worsencroft. All in favor. ~o~'oa~' :~a~~ o~ ~.~,
