PROJECT TITLE:
Cell Tower
PURPOSE FOR REVIEW: Cell To~ver Location.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotmrt, Attorney Tom Holmes, Steve Smart, Jerry Rowland, Merlin
Miller, Ray Griffin, Eric King, Ron Conlin and Larry Kolmtopp.
Rex Portman, Newcom Wireless was presented to discuss location of proposed cell tower at the
Chubbuck Fire Station.
Mr. Portman said the tower will be 90' with a 7' cap. The pole will be wood to the cap. The
proposed site is in a conmxercial zone so Newcom Wireless will be required to go before
the Land Use and Development Commission for a conditional use permit.
Ivlr. Portman presented where Newcom Wireless would like to install the building and tower.
Fire Department said okay.
Fire Chief Eric King told Mr. Portman they will be required to have a knox box on the building.
Mr. Portman said that will not be a problem.
Discussion about what should be in the agreement. At this time, City will lease the ground for
money. In the future the agreement can be amended to include some sort of co-location if
the City opts to.
After discussion, it was decided Newcom Representatives will work with Attorney Hohnes to
draft the agreement.
Newcom Wireless Representatives will come to Design Review Connnittee, October l0th, 2000
to discuss the agreement.
