Landscaping Requirements
Mayor John O. Cotant, Attorney Tom Holmes, Larry Kohntopp, Charlie Dickman,
Ray Griffin, Jen-y Rowland, and Steven Smart.
Jim Worthen was present to discuss green area and fence requirements for his property.
Larry thanked him for getting sidewalk put in.
Mr. Worthen generally felt that he has already done everything he was asked to do, and that no
one has ever mentioned the fence needing moved. He also commented that there am other
property owners on Clover Dell who have not fulfilled City requirements, even as well as he has.
Larry responded that B&C was called in for review last week about their conditions. Jerry
commented that we were coming down on all the property owners to fulfill City requirements.
Further discussion followed on what requirements were agreed to in Council Meeting, and Tom
explained why enforcement has been delayed.
Larry clarified that Worthen is willing to put in the green area, but will not move the fence until
he makes other improvements. Worthen commented that maybe he wouldn't put a building on it,
then he wouldn't need to do the work,
Tom explained that we need to research enforcement of the l0 ft. of landscaping, but attempted
to clarify that we are only trying to set a time frame for the work to be done, rather than taking
legal steps after the results are determined. We are not trying to be difficult. Worthen did not
agree that we were trying to be consistent. He said he will not be doing anything for now and
said for us to go ahead and write him a letter after we did our research.
