Present: Mayor John O. Cotant~ Councilmen Dwain Kiughorn, Jack Menard and ~ ~/~ ~
~ and Clerk Vera Armstrong.
Meeting called to order at ~:45 p.m by Mayor Cotant.
DELINQUENT WAT~ BYTJ, - The city has turned off the water of Mrs. Paul Richmond, 212 Parrish
because o£ delinquency. Mayor Cotant told council he had received a call from Mrs.
Richmond offering to pay July bill o£ $27.05 plus 5.OO turn on fee if the city
would turn her water on. Mrs Richmond and her husband are being divorced and she
wants account in her name only as of July 1st. Council agreed to this arrangement.
CITY BUILDING - Mayor and council discussed new councd2 meeting room. It was decided
to build a platform for council table eight inches high and ten feet deep.
Ceiling Finish - Mayor and council also discussed installing acoustic t~e or having
blown on acoustic finish on council meeting room. The decisionu was to use spray-on
acoustic on ceiling.
STREET REPAIRS _TMayor informed council he had discussed additional street repairs
with Doug Jensen and Jordon Stuart. Bannock Paving has agreed to pave additional
streets at the same price as bid in sewer contract. Council were in favor of
paving these streets if funds are available. Mayor Cotant suggested reviewing
the length of streets to be paved and cost of same and if funds are available
then the work can be done.
Council discussed widening Evan's Lane. Councilman Romriell said he would talk
to Jerry Hitchcock about granting additional width for a 50 foot street.
STREET EQUIPMENT - Mayor showed council pictures of a street striping machine which
sells for 800.~0 and a 9otavater weed machine for 950.00. Mayor said he felt the
city had need for these two pieces of equip_m~m~me~n~tL~Co~gncilman Menard moved the city
buy these two pieces of equipment from stree%--a~g~ent funds if budget allows.
Councilman Romriell seconded motion with an unanimous vote in favor..~ :~ ~-~
Meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
