building April 23, 1974.
Present: Mayor Cotant, Councilmen Kinghorn, Menard, Romriell and ~aylor. Clerk
Vera Armstrong, Engineers Larry Perkins, Doug Jensen and Jack Hills of Oregon
Construction.
Meeting called to order at 6:40 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
Purpose of meeting was to meet with engineers to hear a report on sewer project and
work out the final construction plans and street repairs.
Engineer Perkins showed mayor and council a map of Chubbuck designating house aumbers
throughout the city. Mayor and council requested this map and engineer will complete
the map which enta~ renumbering of North and South Alton, North and South Lucky,
Whitaker Rd., Valenty Rd., Burley Drive, and all of the Neider Addition.
Councilman Menard told Engineers Perkins and Jensen it was his understanding federal
funds were available for railroad functional stop light installations. Engineer
Perkins said this is true and that certain street marking projects would qualify for
federal funding also. Councilman Menard suggested the city investigate into applying
for federal grant funds for railroad crossing light on East Chubbuck Road.
SEWER REPORT - Doug Jensen gave a financial report on total sewer project and of
street repairs made and street repairs to be made. The cost to the city to re-
surface balance of streets as were and including repairs made to date will cost
the city an additional $24~943.00, to improve streets left to be repaired with
an improved surface and double seal coat all presently graveled streets will cost
the city an additional
Pump station changes for complete underground installation will cost an additional
16,~00.00.
Mayor and council discussed proposed street construction and instructed Engineers
as to type of construction desired on the streets left to be repaired. Repairs as
decided upon will cost the city approximately $35,000.00 additional funding. It
was also agreed by mayor and council to change the Valenty Road pump station to
underground and leave other pump stations above grQund at this time.
Meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
