Minutes of December 10th recessed meeting held in the city municipal building
January 2, 1975
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmen Dwain Kinghorn, Jack Menard and
Wayne G. Taylor, Clerk Vera Armstrong. Attorney Don Burnett and Councilman
Earl Romriell excused.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Cotant at 8:35 p.m.
PUELIC HEARING IT~: Mr. and Mrs. Allen L. Pierce and John O. Cotant, Jr. have
requested a variance in zoning to allow Mr. and Mrs. Pierce to use a building
at the rear of property at 4806 Hawthorne to warehouse products for his business,
Al's Distributing Company and wo~ld like to purchase home and building at 4806
Hawthorne if variance request is approved. Planning and Zoning commission have
recommended granting variance.
Councilman Kinghorn moved the council grant the variance allowing Mr. and Mrs?
Pierce to use a buildingat the rear of property at 4806 Hawthorne to warehouse
~ products to operate Al's Distributing Company~and that all stip-
ulations as to truck deliveries stated in their letter of request be adhered to
or variance wooZtd be rescinded. Councilman Taylor seconded motion with an
unanimous vote in favor.~
PU~IC HEARING ITEM: Vern E. Herzog, Jr., Attorney for Eastern Idaho Trailer
Sales has requested a temporary variance to allow them to locate a mobile trailer
to be used as an office upon property at 4212 Yellowstone from January 1 to
February 15, 1975 belonging to Eastern Idaho Trailer Sales.
Councilman Menard moved the council approve the temporary variance request which
will allow Eastern Idaho Trailer Sales to use a mobile trailer as an office at
4212 Yellowstone from January 1 to February 15, 1975. Councilman Taylor seconded
motion with all councilmen voting in favor.
Council told Mr. and Mrs. Winegar if an extension is necessary to request same
the first part of February.
At 9:20 p.m. CouncJ_lman Kinghorn moved and Councilman Menard seconded motion
that the meeting be recessed.
