SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
May 29, 1979
Minutes of a special council meeting held in the city municipal building
May 29, 1979.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmen Boyd L. Fullmer, Dwain A.
Kinghorn, EArl L. Romriell, Attorney Donald L. Burnett, Jr., Engineer
Steven M. Smart, City Clerk Vera C. Armstrong. Councilman LeRoy S.
Quick excused.
Purpose of the meeting is to consider bids as called for on the Railroad
Crossing Paving project.
Meeting called to order at 5:10 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
RAILROAD CROSSING PAVING PROJECT - Bids were opened and reviewed by
mayor, council, attorney and engineer.
Bannock Paving Co, Inc. submitted the following bid:
Aggregate for subbase; 2982 square yards @2.20 = $ 6,560.40
Bituminous pavement; two inches thick, 2982 square
yards @2.27 = 6,769.14
Total Bid
15,329.54
Tiger Asphalt submitted the following bid:
Aggregate for subbase; 2982 square yards @1.50
Bituminous pavement; two inches thick, 2982 square
yards @2.22
: $ 4,473.00
= 6,620.04
11,093.04
After considerable discussion Councilman Romriell moved to accept the
bid of Tiger Ashpalt on the Railroad Crossing Paving Project. Councilman
Fullmer seconded motion. All councilmen present voted in favor of
motion.
BACKHOE PURCHASE - The mayor, council, engineer and attorney discussed the
recent award of bid on the Case backhoe and the correspondence Attorney
Burnett has written to G.K. Machinery in regards to the disatisfaction
of the city with the performance of the machine.
Mayor Cotant asked Attorney Burnett to write G. K. Machinery again.
OTHER DISCUSSIONS: Councilman Fullmer requested that a copy of the fire
agreeementwith the North Bannock County Fire District be sent to
Kruse Insurance Company.
Councilman Kinghorn moved, Fullmer seconded with council approval that
meeting adjourn at 6:45 p.m.

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CHUBBUCK CITY COUNCIL
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604 and 50-706, the
undersigned Mayor and members of the City Council of the City
of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby call a special meeting of the City
Council to be held at the Chubbuck City Offices, 5160 Yellowstone
Avenue, at the hour of 5:00 p.m., on this date, the 29th day
of May, 1979.
The object of the special meeting shall be to consider bids on

given of a special meeting of the Chubbuck City Council at
the time and place, and for the object, recited in the call.
