Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky A. Hopkins, Dwain A. Kinghorn, LeRoy S. Quick, Attorney Donald L. Burnett, Jr., Engineer Steven M. Smart, City Clerk Vera C. Armstronq. Councilman Earl L. Romriell excused. Meeting called to order at 8:00 p.m. Mayor Cotant asked for corrections or additions to minutes of May 12. There being none, Councilman Kinghorn moved to approve minutes of May 12. 1981 as written. Councilwoman Hopkins seconded motion with an unanimous vote in favor of motion. ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE - Dan Davidson, 188 Stuart, asked council the purpose of dog licenses, if for revenue or control, also if dogs are required to be licensed and to wear license, why is the ordinance not enforced. Mayor Cotant explained that licensing of dogs provide an identity of ownership, also identify the dogs for control. Mayor and council told Mr. Davidson they appreciated his comments and concern and that he had brought up several good points. ~Ir. Davidson was told the city will endeavor to tighten up the animal control en- forcement. JOINT REGISTERATION RESOLUTION - Attorney Burnett reported the statutes are not entirely clear and he needs to do some research to clear up some of the mechanical aspects on the joint registeration, that he would have the resolution ready for the next council meeting. CONSIDERATION OF AMENDMENTS TO LAND USE ORDINANCE #205, Section 5 on Mobile Homes. The followinq items were discussed concerning mobil.e homes. 1) Allowance of mobile homes on permanent foundation. 2) Allowance of mobile home subdivisions, or mixed subdivisions which would allow site-built homes along with mobile homes with certain restrictions, e.g., housing siding, asphalt or wood shingles, HUD stamped approval and placed on permanent foundations. Attorney Burnett offered to prepare some material for consideration by mayor and council. Council decided to meet Tuesday evening, June 16, 1981, to review same. 71 OFFICER TO CRIME PREVENTION MEETING - Consideration of sending Officer Richard T. Webb to a special crime prevention meeting in Boise on June 22, 23, and 24th. Councilwoman Hopkins moved to approve for Officer Webb to attend the crime prevention workshop to be held in Boise, June 22, 23 and 24th, Councilman Quick seconded motion, vote was unanimous in favor of motion. APPROVAL OF CLAIM in the amount of $135.00 to Officer R. David Moore. Approval has been made for Officer Moore to attend a school in Boise June 8 through June 12, 1981. Officer Moore has presented a claim for $90.00 to pay for meals and $45.00 to purchase gas while attending this school. Councilman Quick moved to approve claim to Officer R. David Moore, for the above named expenses while attending the school in Boise, June Councilwoman Hopkins seconded motion with an unanimous approving vote of council.
