GENERAL DISCUSSIONS:
1) Purchase of Xerox Copier - City has been trying out a Xerox
copier at the police station with the consideration of trading
their present copier to Don Burnett for his equity in the Xerox
machine and paying the balance of payments due. An outright
payment would cost the city approximately $1584., to continue
payments with interest would be approximately $1746. General
consensus of council was to purchase the copier from Mr. Burnett.
2) Councilman Kinghorn informed council that Officer Moore needs
some help to continue the self-defense class. The police reserve
officer that was helping him is unable to continue because of
work and the police have requested the city pay a specialist
in self-defense $8.00 per hour to help Officer Moore continue
the class. Council discussed matter with some objections being
voiced.
