Present: Mayor Steven M. England, Council members Kent Kearns, Dennis Stoddard, Kermit G. Morrison, Rebecca Ponkow, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes, Public Works Director Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Ron C. Conlin. Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor England. PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG was led by Cody DeLos Reyes. INVOCATION was given by Brandon DeLos Reyes. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Mayor England asked for corrections or additions to the regular meeting minutes of October 13, 2009. Council member Kearns moved to approve the regular meeting minutes of October 13, 2009 as read, Council member Morrison seconded. Roll Call Vote: Kearns, yes; Stoddard, yes; Ponkow, Morrison, yes. PROCLAMATION - “NATIONAL AMERICAN INDIAN HERITAGE MONTH” - Mayor England read the National American Indian Heritage Month Proclamation in full. Myrna Crapo, 15503 W. Siphon, Pocatello, Idaho explained the proclamation. Council member Stoddard moved to authorize Mayor England to proclaim, November as “National American Indian Heritage Month” in the City of Chubbuck, Council member Ponkow seconded. Roll Call Vote: Morrison, yes; Ponkow, yes; Stoddard, yes; Kearns, yes. CLAIMS - Computer print-out claims presented to Mayor England and Council. Council member Kearns moved to approve the computer print-out claims as presented, Council member Morrison seconded. Roll Call Vote: Kearns, yes; Stoddard, yes; Ponkow, yes; Morrison, yes. 159 COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA - (cont.) October 27, 2009 ANNOUNCEMENT - Special Meeting to Canvass the General City Election Votes, Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. in Chubbuck City Council Chambers. Brandon De Los Reyes stated he would like to thank the Chubbuck Fire Department EMT's for their quick response to an incident at his home.
