Semi trucks parking on Bullock Street. Bullock Street Site plan approval/Truck Parking discussion. Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes, Steve Smart, Ray Griffin, Eric King, Merlin Miller, Councilman Marvin Gunter, Jim Phelps, Jason Mendenhall, Ron Conlin and Larry Kohntopp. Gary Cooper suggested the City ban all parking of semi-trucks on Bullock Street, Mr. Cooper said he would like to clean off weeds from the property he purchased from the City, then display cars for sale or let Budget Rent a Car rent the property. Mr. Cooper stated semi- truckers park across from his property and leave a mess. Wal-Mart customers also drop their plastic bags and they blow on to Mr. Cooper's property. Mr. Cooper said most of the trucks are from out of State, mostly Canada. Discussion about Mr. Cooper providing a place for the trucks to park. Mr. Cooper felt the trucks would tear up gravel and dirt if allowed to park on the south of Bullock Street. Design Review Committee approved the site plan Mr. Cooper presented subject to the following conditions: 1. 10' Landscaping requirement with automatic sprinkling system on north side of Bullock Street and east of Lakeshore Drive. 2. Needs Design Review Committee approval when Mr. Cooper decides to install a sign. 3. There will be no parking on north side of Bullock Street where Mr. Cooper sells cars or has his Budget Rent-a-car. Semi-trucks will be allowed to park on the south side of Bullock Street. 4. A business license is required for any business in the City of Chubbuck.
