reflects the change.
PWD Smart stated the timing of these proposed projects can be changed depending on
the CDA Board's direction.
Kathleen Lewis said when we remove from the District, we remove the base, if we adjust
and put in new properties, we have to use this year's value only. The City cannot have
more than 10% of base valuation in the tax increment district.
PWD Smart presented a proposed Urban Renewal Area Map. PWD Smart explained
how he came up with the proposed map.
Kathleen Lewis stated the real trick on this is to identify the boundaries. Kathleen said we
have two options, one being, approach the County and amend the agreement, releasing
properties, then flag the properties we want in the District. The other is to amend the
agreement to show narrow boundaries, showing streets in the District.
Kathleen Lewis said it will take some time to flag the properties we want in the District.
After discussion, Council directed Kathleen Lewis to proceed. The Chubbuck
Development Authority Board will meet to discuss the proposed boundaries on January
28th, 2003.
