COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
August 27~ 1985
Minutes of a special council meeting held in the city municipal building,
August 27, 1985,
Present: Mayor John O, Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Becky A. Hopkins, Leroy S.
Quick, Thomas S. Nield, Steven M~ England, Engineer Steven M. Smart and
City Clerk Ron C. Conlin.
Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m, by Mayor Cotant.
OBJECT OF SPECIAL MEETING was to consider information presented by Architect Tom
Myersland Pete Anderson in regards to a proposed city swimming pool.
Chubbuck residents present at the meeting: Mr. & ~!rs. Lloyd Monroe, Mr. & Mrs.
Boyd Fullmer, Mr. & Mrs. Laurie Seals, Mrs. Bonnie Nelson, Mrs. Pat Hansen
and Mrs. Brenda Walker.
PROPOSED CITY SWIMMING POOL - Architect Pete Anderson presented a film showing
the advantages of a wave pool, Mr. Anderson said the cost difference between,
a wave pool and a regular pool would be approx. 5%.
Mr. Anderson answered questions in regards to wave pools, regular pools and~
covered pool,
After discussion it was decided that Mr. Anderson would present proposals on
a city swimming pool at the September lOth Council Meeting.
At 7:30 p.m., Councilman Nield moved, Councilman Quick seconded, with full
council approval to adjourn meeting,

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned
mayor of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special
meeting of the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck City
Municipal Building, 5160 Yellowstone Avenue, at the hour of
6:30 p.m., on this date, the 27th of August, 1985. The object
of the special meeting shall be to consider information about a
proposed city swimming pool.

Pursuant to the call set forth above, notice is hereby
given of a special meeting of the Chubbuck City Council at
the time and place, and for the object, recited in the call.
