COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
February 21, 1989
Minutes of a special meeting held in the city municipal building,
February 21, 1989.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr., Councilmembers Leroy S. Quick,
Steven M. England, David A. Landon, Dwain A. Kinghorn, Attorney
Thomas J. Holmes, Public Works Director Steven M. Smart and City
Clerk Ron C. Conlin.
PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING is to discuss 1) Disposal of City Property
at 4545 Yellowstone Ave. 2) Bannock County/City of Chubbuck/City of
P6catelto Proposal - Malt Plant Site.
Meeting was called ot order at 5:04 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
DISCUSSION LAND DISPOSAL AT 4545 YELLOWSTONE AVE. - Mr. Steve Vigliaturc
Forsman C Real Estate was present to present a bid on city property
at 4545 Yellowstone Ave.
Mr. Vigliaturo, on behalf of Joe Christofferson offered the City
of Chubbuck, $70,000.00 for the 4.83 acre parcel at 4545 Yellowstone
Ave.
Mr. Vigliaturo said he would contact the Circle K people about land
on the SW corner of Yellowstone Ave. and West Chubbuck Road.
Mayor Cotant told Mr. Vigliaturo the council would take the Offer of
$70,000.00 under consideration.
At 5:20 p.m., Councilman England moved to go into executive session
meeting for the purpose of discussion of acquiring an interest in
real property, not owned by the City of Chubbuck, as authorized by
Idaho Code 67-2345 (c). Councilman Quick seconded. Roll Call Vote:
Quick, yes; England, yes; Landon, yes; Kinghorn, yes. 100% of
Councilmembers voted in favor of motion.

OF UNDERSTANDING.
DISPOSAL OF CITY PROPERTY AT 4545 YELLOWSTONE AVE.
No action or final decision was made.
At 6:10 p.m., Councilman Landon moved to adjourn from executive
session meeting to regular meeting. Councilman England seconded.
Ail councilmembers voted in favor of motion.
BANNOCK COUNTY/CHUBBUCK/CITY OF POCATELLO LETTER TO ANHEUSER BUSCH CO.
Mayor Cotant read a letter prepared by Attorney Holmes, clarifying
questions raised that will assist Anheuser Busch Co. in deciding
where they will locate their plant. A question was raised as to
rather or not this property will be annexed into the City of Chubbuc~
the City of Chubbuck would be willing to enter into an agreement,
agreeing to not annex property until at least after, January 1, 2000

Councilman Kinghorn moved to approve the letter drafted by Attorney
Holmes as read-by Mayor Cotanto Councilman Landon seconded. All
councilmembers voted in favor of motion.
DISCUSSION ABOUT DISPOSAL OF CITY PROPERTY AT 4545 YELLOWSTON~~AVE. -
Public Works Director Smart said the property at 4545 Yellowstone's
frontage dimensions are 165,' and 25' will be required for road right.
a-way. The available frontage will be brought to 140' Public Works
Director Smart said he felt the property is not good to anyone with-
out the street developed.
At 6:25 p.m., Councilman England moved, Councilman Quick seconded,
with full council approval to adjourn meeting.

CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50 -604, the undersigned _
�'` Mayor of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special
meeting of the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck City
Municipal Building, 5160 Yellowstone Ave., at the hour of
5:00 p.m., on the 21st. day of February, 1989. The object of
the special meeting .hall be to discuss the Bannock County/
Chubbuck /City of Pocatello Pr I - +.Malr.Plant -a discussion
ab ut disposal of City Property a 54 �Ave.
