COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
August 13, 1991
Minutes of regular meeting held in the city municipal building,
August 13, 1991.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members, Leroy S. Quick,
Steven M. England, David A. Landon, W. Dean Wood, Attorney
Thomas J. Holmes, Public Works Director Steven M, Smart and
City Clerk Ron C. Conlin.
Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Mayor Cotant asked
additions to the minutes of July 23, 1991

Councilman Wood moved to approve the minutes of July 23,
1991 as read. Councilman Quick seconded. All council members
voted in favor of motion.
Councilman Quick moved to approve Special Meeting Minutes of
July 30th., 1991. Councilman Wood seconded. All council
members voted in favor of motion.
RESOLUTION ~8-91 - Pursuant to Chapter 8.28 of Chubbuck
Code declaring the lack of sidewalk along the
properties:

Councilman Quick moved to adopt Resolution ~8-91 as read.
Councilman Landon seconded. All council members voted in favor
of motion.
RESOLUTION ~9-91 - Pursuant to Chapter 8.28 of Chubbuck Municipal
Code declaring the ]ack of sidewalk along properties at the
addresses in Stuart Additions ~1, 2 and 3.
Resolution ~9-91 states the amount of linear feet of curb and
gutter to be replaced by the City, also the amount of linear
feet of sidewalk to be replaced by the property owner.
PWD Smart gave a report on Resolution ~9-91.
Mayor Cotant suggested the City participate in removing the
sidewalk that needs repaired.

After discussion, the Council decided to table Resolution ¢9-
91, and invite residents for their comments to the September
10th., 1991 Council Meeting.
GEORGE SHZOZAWA SEWER CLAIM - PND Smart stated Mr. Shiozawa brought
a bill into him he had not received until late July. Mr.
Shiozawa settled with the insurance company not realizing that
a Quik and Kleen bill had not come in. When they got the bill,
the insurance company denied it, because Shiozawa's had
already settled.
After discussion, Councilman England moved to pay the claim
of $105.00 to George Shiozawa for reimbursement of the Quik
and Kleen bill. Councilman Quick seconded. All council members
voted in favor of motion.
CLAIM - ROZAN HILLER SEWER BACK UP - Rozan Miller, 5415
Yellowstone Ave. presented a claim for a damaged sink. Mrs.
Miller did not present a cost on the sink.
After discussion, Councilman Quick moved to direct City Clerk
Conlin to get costs asked by Mrs. Miller, then present the
claim to City Insurance Co. Councilman Landon seconded. All
council members voted in favor of motion.
1991-92 FISCAL YEAR TENTATIVE BUDGET - City Clerk Conlin present&d
to Mayor Cotant and Council the 1991-1992 Fiscal Year
Tentative Budget.
Councilman England moved to adopt the 1991-92 Fiscal Year
Tentative Budget with the following additions: 1) Additional
$ 25,000.00 for Recycling Program in Sanitation Department.
2) Additional $200,000.00 for Sewer Projects in Sewer
Department. Councilman Landon seconded. All council members
voted in favor of motion.
CLAIMS - Computer print-out claims presented to Mayor Ootant and
Council.
Councilman Wood moved to approve computer print out claims as
read. Councilman Quick seconded. All council members voted in
favor of motion.
At 8:25 p.m., Councilman England moved, Councilman Landon seconded,
with full council approval to adj . ' .
