Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes, Steve Smart, Jerry Rowland, Eric
King, Ron Conlin, Jim Phelps and Larry Kohntopp.
Todd and Wayne Sherer were present to present their site plan.
Todd Sherer explained his proposed coating business. Mr. Sherer stated there will be no solvents,
the coating system drys fast. This is a truck bed liner. The liquid comes in 50 gallon
drums, the most he will have at any one time is four 50 gallon drums. Mr. Sherer stated
everything will be contained in the building.
The following concerns were addressed by Staff:
1. FC Eric King stated the building is required to be ventilated.
2. FC King said he needs to see the MSDS Sheets.
3. FC King wants to see a layout of the building showing where product and chemicals are
going to be stored and used.
4.Might be required to use a knox box.
Mr. Sherer said noise will not be a problem, the nosiest piece of equipment is an air compressor.
Discussion about sign.
Staff felt the parking requirements were met.
Fire Chief Eric King said he would like to see the following:
1. Plan for ventilating the building.
2. Review the MSDS sheets.
3. Review layout of the building showing where product and chemicals are going to be
used and stored.
4. Review whether are not a know box will be required.
5. Berm for floor drain.
Staff approved the proposal subject to FC King's approval.

DESIGN REVIEW MEETING APPLICATION
The purpose of this application is to establish a meeting and review time with the City of
Chubbuck Design Review Team consisting of the: Mayor, Building Official, City Planner,
City Engineer, Fire Marshal, Police Chief and other City staff as required. The Design Review
Team meets every Tuesday morning between the hours of 10:30 and 12:00 Noon
This team will work in unison, with you, to establish the criteria for your project as it
relates to the adopted ordinances of the City of Chubbuck. Keep in mind, this is an
informal review and is only conducted on submitted applications. This is a review team
not a design team. Provide (6) six sets of drawings at least one week in advance of your
scheduled meeting. Formal reviews of your plans or project by City staff is conducted
after formal application. Once you make your appointment and it is verified, it is very
important to keep that appointment so others can be scheduled accordingly.
