COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
October 17, 1995
Minutes of a Special Meeting held at city municipal building, October 17, 1995.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council Members Marvin C. Gunter, W. Dean
Wood, Steven M. England, LeRoy S. Quick (joined the meeting at 4:45 pm), PWD
Steve Smart, and Deputy Clerk Myrna Crapo.
Meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING is to discuss amending sewer rates.
Steve Smart passed out a proposed resolution, The council then discussed the
proposed resolution. Steve explained that $14.50 was the proposed charge;
$10.00 to $12.00 would deplete the reserves we now have. $1.00 reduction
would make a difference of $40,000 a year. 'The current sever bill is $17.00,
this reduces it by $3.50.
The council discussed the law suit with Pocatello and where it was at now.
This reduction doesn't take into account what we would do with the money
that we will receive back.
The council discussed reducing it $5.00 now and then raising it again if we
need too. It was felt that we need a set time each year to review the water,
sewer and sanitation rates.
The council discussed the charges for Trailer park and apartments.
Dean Wood moved to reduce the base charge to $6.75 thus making a minimum
bill of $12.00 a month for sewer with a review of the sewer rate in a year.
Steven England seconded. All council members voted in favor of the motion.

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50-604, the undersigned Mayor
of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of
the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal Building, at
the hour of 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, the 17th. day of October, 1995.
The object of the special meeting shall be for Mayer Cotant and
Council Members to discuss utility charges to city residents.
