HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-15-2008dr DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES July 15th, 2008 APPLICANT: Trent Stephens, 4441 N. Williamsburg, Pocatello, Idaho. PROJECT TITLE: Party Palace LOCATION: 207 E. Chubbuck Road PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Site Plan Approval Present: Mayor Steven M. England, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes, Steve Smart, Ron C. Conlin, Randy Severe, Ray Griffin, Eric King and Merlin Miller. Jim Woodland, Bob Elzner and Jason Woodland were present to present the site plan. Discussion about moving the building further back on the property. Jim Woodland stated Mr. Stephens wants more building room and would like to include a basement. Bob Elzner stated he is preparing going through the platting stage now. Steve Smart said this can be a short plat. Steve Smart stated there will have to be a 36' joint approach with Nick Crookston. Considerable discussion about easement and road through the property. No one a this meeting knows how far Nick Crookston will allow the easement to run through his property. Larry Kohntopp has had discussion with Mr. Crookston regarding this, Larry is on vacation this week. Steve though the easement through the Crookston property should be 150' minimum. Merlin Miller told the group they will be required to sprinkle the building, if a basement is included. The building height can be 20', they will work with BO Ray Griffin. Steve stated, if everything required is submitted, the short plat can be on the August 12th, 2008 Council Meeting. The following requirements were discussed: 1. Required to have a 36' joint approach with Nick Crookston, 130' to 150' from East Chubbuck Road. There shall be a cross access development agreement between Nick Crookston and Trent Stephens. DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES - (cont.) July 15th, 2008 The following requirements were discussed: 2. Utility lines to the previous home will work for the Any Fitness building. 3. There will be a E. Chubbuck Road address. 4. If there is an advertizing sign, the plans shall be approved by City Building Official. 5. Required to have 10' landscaping with automatic sprinkling system facing E. Chubbuck Road. There shall be 5% interior landscaping. 6. Storm and surface water to be engineered and retained on site. 7. Exterior lighting shall be shielded to be contained on site. 8. Required to have a short plat. 9. If required to have a dumpster, it shall be a three sided enclosure to accommodate City front load dumpster trucks. 10. Fire Department requires a knox box, one more fire hydrant and the building to be sprinkled if there is a basement included.
