APPLICANT: Chris Barrows, 360 Pershing
PROJECT TITLE: Idaho Rocks
LOCATION: 4340 Lakeshore Drive
PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Site plan approval.
Present: Mayor Steven M. England, Councilman Kermit Morrison, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes,
Steve Smart, Larry Kohntopp, Ken Quinn, Ray Griffin, Charlie Dickman, Ron Conlin and
Andy Despain.
Chris Barrows, Idaho Rock was present to present his proposed site plan for a fun center at 4340
Lakeshore Drive. Mr. Barrows stated there will be a miniature golf course, 40' rock
climbing tower, small game area and snack bar. The entrance will be from Bullock Drive
to Lakeshore Drive. Mr. Barrows stated he is going to re-pave certain areas. Mr. Barrows
is leasing the building.
Steve stated City of Pocatello services the building with water and sewer. There is probably an
easement for the sewer and water.
Design Review Committee approved the site plan with the following conditions:
1. Any sign that is not on the building is required to be approved by City Building
Inspector.
2. 10' Landscaping with automatic sprinkling system is required to be installed prior to
September 1st, 2008.
3. Storm water drainage is required to be contained on site. Property drains to east.
4. There is already an oil/silt separator.
5. Exterior lighting is required to be shielded on site.
6. There is no platting requirement at this time.
7. Building Department requires plan with Architecture Stamp on it.
8. A dumpster with a three sided enclosure is required. Mr. Barrows will work with
Building Official Ray Griffin.
9. Fire Department required them to continue indoor sprinkler system.
10. Address is required to be visible from Bullock Drive.
11. Police Department is requiring a list of responsible people with the business.
12. Chris Barrows stated he will work with Building Official Ray Griffin to comply with
City Code.
