1997-98 FISCAL YEAR TENTATIVE BUDGET DISCUSSION - (cont.)
Discussion about reimbursement of Depreciation Funds for
building addition paid from Depreciation Funds. It was decided
Water, Sewer and Sanitation will pay back $50,000. annually to
the Depreciation Fund.
After discussion, it was decided the Water, Sewer and
Sanitation Fund will reimburse the Sewer Capacity Fund for
monies expended to purchase 166 and 204 Hiway Ave.
City Clerk Conlin went through Proposed Expenditures as
compared to Proposed Revenues and felt the 1997-98 Fiscal Year
General Fund Tentative Budget could be balanced at the same
mill levy as last year.
City Clerk Conlin expressed concern about lack of water
revenue, we might have to look at increasing in rates in Water
Fund if weather continues.
Sewer Fund is balanced with reserve funds, should consider
increasing sewer rates in the near future.
City Clerk Conlin stated, Sanitation Fund is not creating a
fund balance of any kind, just staying even, if BFI, or
Bannock County increases fees, the City will have to increase
rates.
At 7:23 p.m., Councilman England moved, Councilman Wood seconded,
with full council approval to adjourn meeting.
