Minute~ of the regular council meeting o£ the Mayor and Council held in the municipal
building August 11, 1971
Meeting called to order: 8:00 P.M.
present: Mayor Cotant, Councilmen Leslie, Romrieil, Taylor and Thompson, Attorney Wise.
Minutes of the regular meeting of July 11~ 1971 read and approved as read.
GENEf{AL REQL~STS: ROUGH ROAD - D. T. Worsencroft, 320 ?,~. Chubbuck Hd. presented a co~laint
of an extremely rough spot in road by the canal between the 300 and LO0 block on
~. Chubbuck Rd. Will City repair?
SWI~-P~[S in canal lay on read to dry and it is very dengerous and Mr. Worsencroft is
worried that someone is going to get hit by a car.
ROAD SiGN - Mr. Worsencroft asked ~r a road sign to be installed at Yellowstone Ave.
and Chubbuek Rd. Also asked about the development of the stop light at Yellowstone
Ave and Chubbuck Rd. intersecticn,
Mayor thanked Mr. Worsencroft for bringing these matters to the council's attention
and assured him action would be taken on them.
ZONING C~iNGE REQUEST - Isaac McDougal, attorney, represented the residents on the east
side of Burley Drive to request the street be zoned R-2T which would allow trai!er~
homes. Earl Romriell made motion the east side of Burley Dr. be zoned R-2T.
Discussion followed, and decision was to have R-2T extend from the Interstate on the
eouth to a point north to an east-west line even with Linden St. Leslie seconded.

was mined because of water being shut off. The city acknowledged Mr. Lewises claim
and matter will be referred to the Insurance Company.
TRAILER R~,~,~,¥~'~L - Mayor stated that Garland Henry had been issued surm~ons to remove
trailer at Handy Service on Yellowstone Ave.
SUP~DIVISION PLATS - Jack Menard, zoning co~issiom me,leer presented two plats to council,
Homes West, a 68 unit subdivision to be developed by Der. his Leslie and Country Acres
~th Add. to be developed by Fred Chase. Discussion followed as to compliance with
subdivision ordinance, e.g., sidewalks, performance bond, etc. Majority of the
council seemed to favor sidewalks.
Councilman Taylor ~ade motion the city accept the prel~inary plat of Homes ~.,?est.
Romriel! seconded. Roll Call Vote: Leslie abstained; Romriell, yes; Taylor, yes;
Thompson abstained.
Long discussion followed as to accepting the subdivisions plats. Councilman Thompson
stated be abstained from vote because of non-compliance of plats with subdivision
ordinance. Thompson said the council is not complying ~ith ordinance as to development
of subdivisions, and that the city should stcp development that has started without
approval and perhaps place a fine on the developer that goes on to construction with-
out an approved plat.
~ouncilman Romriell made motion the council approve the prel~ninary plat of the
Country Acres ~th Add. subject to city approval of water and sewer systems. Roll call
vote: Leslie, yes; Romriell, yes; Taylor, yes; Thompson abstained.
BISTLINE CONTF.[ZTION. Discussion was had in reference to Bistline construction of ~[obi!e
Home Estate without submission of a proper plat and approval of same. "Mayor requested
Attorney ~fise to noti~ Bistline that the city requires them to comply with the
subdivision ordinance mad Attorney Wise is to report satisfaction of their compliance.
DISANNE~ATION - Mayor presented again the request of dis-annexation of Gary Carlson and
surrounding fa~ land. Also disaunexation of the area south of interstate. No action
taken,

WAT~ HOOK-UPS - A. F. Mc~ber has requested two water hook-ups off of line installed
in the fall of 1970. Mr~ Mc~ber has been charged part of hoo~-up costs in the
materials cost of line installation last £all~ Council are in a~reement that a
charge of $7~.00 will be due for the final water hook-up charge on each of the
two residences furaished water from this line.

Monthly Bills presented to mayor and council for approval. Cour~cilman Thompson made
motion to pay bills, Taylor seconded. Ail in favor.
