Meeting called to order 8:00 p. M. REQUEST ~ MED -ALERT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE - Mr. Don Snook and Mr. Jim Allen of Med-Alert Ambulance service~were~presen~ requesting support from the City of Chubbuck for the ambulance service in the area. Councilman Thompson requested a break-down of the service to the Chubbuck area. Ambulance service is to bring a report to the city meeting in April. REQUEST ~'fATER HOOK-UP - Roy Middleton presented his proposal for securing city water to his home on West Chubbuck Road. Councilman Romriell proposed the city allow Mr. wa~er. All in favor. Agreement to be written up and Middleton to hook up to city ,~ signed by both parties~ as this to be a personal water line to be maintained by Middleton. REQUEST CARD GAM~ AT FIVE MILE INN - Lena Giannini of the Five Mile Inn requested she be allowed to have card games at her place of business. They were asked to submit a request and the city will have the attorney give leg~_l opinion. STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT RESOLUTION to be considered next meeting. Attorney McDevitt to be contacted to give opinion on same. ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF 1971 #93 read in f~ll by Mayor Cotant. Motion to dispense with rule to read on three separate days made by Thompson, seconded by Leslie. Roll call vote; Leslie, yes; Romriell, yes; Thompson, yes. Motion to adopt Ordinance #93 made by Leslie, seconded by Romriell. Roll call vote; Leslie, yes; Romriell, yes; Thompson, yes. S~ER PROJECT - Mayor reported on sewer project upon his return from Portland on Monday. The grant ava41able from HUD has been reduced to'$500,000.00 or less at this time. It is suggested we minimize our projected program. HUD also suggests the city finance the project with LID (Local Improvement District) and Revenue Bonds. There is also a 15 year limit of financing on LID. Larry Perkins, engineer, is making a new study to present to council to this effect. MAYOR SUGGESTS the following considerations: Dry sewers in new construction. Street construction needs tighter restrictions. Storm sewers on new streets. Councilmen in agreement that these things should be considered in sub-division ordinance. PAYMENT TO ENGINEERING FIR~_ - Mayor suggests the city make reimbursements to the Forsgren, Perkins, & Ass. Inc., engineering firm for the expenses incurred to date on the proposed sewer project. All councilmen in agreement. PARKS - Mayor suggested the city proceed with application for grant to purchase additional acreage from Franklin Briscoe for future park. Mayor also informed council of a Ford tractor and mower in Blackfoot that was in exceptionally good shape he felt the city should purchase. Need for same was also expressed by councilmen. STREET LIGHTS - Mayor reported street lights should be installed soon at the cost of $67.20 per month for 16 additional lights. RADAR - Chief Don Frasure requested the city obtain a radar system. Council all agreed to look further into this. BUILDING PERMIT - Building inspector Joe Brennan to contact Myrtle's Place about building permit for interior remodeling. Also discussion as to city's need for building inspector. SANITATION Ik~PECTION - Rulon Tueller is to be contacted for verification of checking cafes in Chubbuck for health and sanitation standards.
